Weber State vs. BYE WEEK

Weber State faces their annual match-up with Bye Week this Saturday. We've handled this team pretty good in the past without any major injuries and only losing to them when the team was coached by Jody Sears. I'm just hoping whatever lead Weber State takes into the 4th quarter against Bye Week, they can hold on for the victory.

My prediction: Wildcats 45 Bye Week 24.

There will be vast improvements made in several aspects, all unseen, between Week 4 & Week 5! I'm thinking most everyone will agree (I know ncaafootball should) that this BYE opponent is also a Big Sky doormat team. I'm just hoping that the progress will stick & hold into Week 6 vs. Portland St. Because the Vikings are a ?? team, 1-3 with 3 straight loses (0-1 as SUU beat them 45-31)...maybe they're a semi-doormat BSC team ?? :coffee:

BYE's gonna get stomped. I just got some insider information from some players and they are really focused on this weekends game. They have the playbook and know everything BYE is planning to do. It might be close, especially the 4th quarter, but the Cats get out of this weekends battle with another W!

On a lighter note, lol, I knew the Cats would be limping into the BYE week. Hopefully Jay can get some of his banged up players healthy and get everyone back on the same page.

First time on the board looking forward to talking Weber with you guys. Really hope Jay can get these guys healthy this week other wise were going to be in trouble Heard Wilkes and Tela may red/greyshirt this year which will hurt us BIG TIME. also hopefully with the bye week they can find a cornerback replacement for Snowden..... thank god we dont have to play cooper kupp,,,,, :bad: :wall:

Hey rofen808 - it is Xequille Harry that they need to find a replacement for... not Snowden! But honestly, Snowden is even worse than Harry, so they need replacements for both.

According to this weeks Big Sky Conference Coaches call, Wilkes is probable to play vs Portland St. http://skylinesportsmt.com/big-sky-breakdown-big-sky-coaches-call-first-week-of-october/

Welcome rofen808! Agreed on Snowden. Snowden hasn't really had the best year so far. He has the speed, but just seems out of position and a step behind. I also heard about Tela using a RS this year. He has one to use since he played as a true freshman. As for Wilkes, I didn't hear that, but it would make sense. It is better to make sure both are 100% and have as much time as possible. Why waste their eligibility?

Xequille is fine, he isn't great, but he isn't terrible either. He is right in the middle, average. It seemed like we were so deep at corner/DB, but after Taron, we look down right bad.

To me it seems as if most of our secondary is out. The only guys in the secondary who are playing are Johnson, Harry, Hoskins, Snowden, and at safety are Burton, Lopez, Fields, Miller, and Brown. Neither Preator brother has seen the field since the USU game, I'm sure the BYU transfer is sitting out this year. Maxwell and Pleasent both JC Transfers haven't played yet this season and Harrison really hasn't played at Safety. Last season he started out on fire but has really done much since. It is too bad that we lost Tulane so early in the season. He was primed for a breakout season. To me it seems as if the coaching is a bit suspect in the secondary.

Shaheed is joining the team in January. Really wishing Jordan Preator could play this year. Heard the kid has real talent
