Weber State

I haven't seen much talk about Saturday's game in here, so I was just curious in what your impressions were? I thought that the team played well (Minus the first Quarter) and stepped up to play a better coached Weber state. However, Thomson did kind of let me down this week. 7 for 26? Really? These were the same passes he was making with relative ease against Incarnate Word. The kid is good, I just don't think he showed up to play on Saturday and it showed. SUU is going to be a rough game, just checked and 5 dimes (a betting site) has Sac at +14, Thomson needs to show up this week or its going to be ugly.


Also: I'm new at this whole posting thing, so if I come off sounding like an idiot, I'm sorry lol.
Also Also: I'm a current junior and have read this forum since I was a freshman, just wanted to say thanks to you all for the hours of entertainment!

Welcome, oh it is entertaining, just not on the field.

I started as a junior too following the Hornets, over 25years ago! Have fun, it goes fast.

Not much to say about the Weber game, typical Hornets, unprepared and unmotivated to start the game.

1st Quarter was not good starting with a 8 Min drive and a blocked punt. Hopefully they make a move.
What I did see is a team not give up. That was encouraging. Really a over throw from taking the lead. I am curious to see how this weeks game goes.

Had Weber stopped on opening drive and a bonehead 15yard late hit call gave Weber the ball again and momentum. Blink and it’s 16-0.

Meanwhile Davis is kicking ass and taking names.

Student, welcome to the board! Entertainment? What you are reading are the frustrations of grumpy people who want our teams to win. this is our lot....

Welcome StudentHornet! Credit to you and your fellow students as your attendance at games and tailgates is light years ahead of what it was when I was a student over a decade ago. :grizo1:

The Hornets had a decent showing against a tough Weber team. The defense continues to impress as they held WSU to 3 TDs and under 300 yards of offense, had a pick 6, 12 TFLs and 6 sacks. You can’t ask for much more than that.

The offense sucked as they had plenty of opportunities to capitalize on the defensive stops. But ultimately, I pin the loss on special teams. The difference was the blocked punt that gifted Weber a TD as well as the inability to stop the 2-point conversion on 3 separate occasions.

The overall positive was that this team didn’t fold when it fell behind 24 points early in the game. Last season’s team would have just packed it in for the night at that point.
