Should we call them the Lillard-less WSU team? His loss makes a huge difference with this team.

When did Nate get hurt? Did I miss it, or was it in practice? He looked to be in a boot tonight.

Alright, I'm sorry, but it's been four games. Nelson's effort sucks ass. I figured I'd give a few games to get back in the flow, but I'm not liking what I see. I understand that he was hurt and is out of game shape, but his effort is garbage. Other than his long arms, there's not a whole lot that he's adding out there. Zero chance to drive. Can't jump on defense. All shots are short. Not much more to say.

Dane should get the game ball tonight. He really provided a spark in the second half. That travel near mid-court was a little on the lame side, but that shouldn't tarnish the solid nine minutes that he provided tonight. I wish Geving would have kept him in there when we were rolling with him.

In all honesty, this shouldn't have been as close as it was. Our crappy free throw shooting and their three point shooting kept it real close. Bamforth was on freaking fire all night.

Good to get the conference win. Here's to another on Saturday! :D

Dane was really the believer and emotional floor leader tonight. I think it has to do with his not being from the West but the Midwest. He's not subject to all the expectations Westerns tend to hold implicitly. He's blind to all that, and that's a plus for the program. We should always have some outside-the-region people like Dane and Paul Guede in the mix. Reminds me of how Reuben Droughns used to fire up the Duck football team when they tended to get lethargic.

It was great to see Dane fire up a three and drive the bucket...

Two good things about last nights game: One, the Viks were victorious, and two, FREEMAN WILLIAMS WAS IN THE HOUSE !!!!!!!

Portland State 71, Weber State 69: Four players score in double figures to lead Vikings at home

I'm glad I got to withness it. Second half intensity by the Viks was amazing, short handed (as always), and over matched they never quit working. Dane really thrilled the crowd, awesome effort! and the facial expressions of Harriel and Odom driving to the hoop were worth the price of admission alone. Phil looks well, not in fighting shape as they say. Quite a liabiltiy every minute he was out there. I was thinking maybe this would be the night he really returns.. but I had not seen him out of street clothes until tonight haha.
