Weber State's Offensive Line

I've heard WSU's O-line is quite good. Who is the starting five. What are their heights and weights? I'm guessing they might actually be quite a bit bigger than USU's.

Welcome travelingagg, I'll point you to a former thread. http://www.bigskyfans.com/wildcats/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2464" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. It includes the entire depth chart.

I would not say our line is particularly the largest around but they are downright nasty. JC Oram is a beast and loves to flatten people. He's been doing it since he was a freshman.

LT Caleb Turner 6'4 285 Sr
LG J.C. Oram 6'4 300 Sr
C Tyson Tiatia 6'2 270 So
RG Jiniki Timoteo 6'3 310 So
RT Tytan Timoteo 6'1 310 Jr

Don't forget that our fullback is 255, and our QB is 220. I'd say its safe to say we should be able to run the ball okay. :thumb:

arquably the best offensive line in the country. they allowed 0 sacks last yr in about half our games including 0 to boston college and montana. wyoming had 0 sacks last week even though they predicted a number of them.

offensive line was solid last week and is our biggest strength on our team.

Wow, you've got an impressive starting five there. At 295 lbs, your line is actually 4 pounds heavier, on average, than USU's O-line.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for stopping by

Yep our o-line is definetely our strength, they owned Wyoming's defensive line

Now the question is...how will our OL match up with USU's DL? Also, how will our DL matchup against USU's OL?

Honestly, I was really impressed with the play of our DL against WYO. They really were able to put some serious pressure on the Smith. He was sacked three or four times. Along with the DL, The LBs looked solid. The area of greatest concern, for me, is the secondary. Our safeties looked lost and the CB's were a step behind Wyo's receivers. Also, our D needs to do a far better job or wrapping up and finishing the tackle. I know there is an emphasis on causing TOs, but wouldn't it be better to emphasize making the tackle first then causing a TO? Even though there is a lot of room for improvement, I think the Defensive is already looking better than last year and is getting better.

As for Weber's OL??? YIKES!! They are good. Add on the TE's, 255lb FB, and Hoke...thats a lot of weight being thrown at you.

Sounds like a great group of guys. Our d-lines are traditionally small, no change to that this year. Even our LBs are small. We'll see how the match-up goes. Looking forward to Saturday!

Go Aggies!
