RANDY RAHE QUOTES
ON MONTANA: “They have played really well this season against really good teams. They beat Oregon on the road then lost a five point game at Washington. Anthony Johnson is a great all-around player and Ryan Staudacher has the ability to pull the trigger from anywhere on the court with success. Brian Qvale is one of the most improved players in the league this season and has become a prominent force in the middle. Coach Tinkle’s teams are always aggressive, especially on the defensive end, and they don’t give you any cheap baskets.”

ON WEBER STATE: “I am running out of half time motivational speeches. We need to concentrate better in the first half on rebounding and defending. We need to get more baskets off turnovers overs. I still like our attitude and out togetherness, but we can’t live on second half surges. We need to establish ourselves in the first half and make our opponents play catch up.”

Desnews:

"The conference is as good as it's been since I've been here," Rahe said. "It's going to be an absolute fistfight every night in conference. Good, bad, ugly — all you can do is move on to the next one and see where you're at in a couple of months."

" Despite the Grizzlies' third straight league loss, Tinkle was upbeat.

'I'm super, super proud of our guys' effort,' Tinkle said. 'If we play like we did in the second half and keep building, we will be the best team by the end of the season.' "

Well unfortunately for tinkle...all the teams are getting better. Session needs to spend time in the gym shooting. Especially FT's. Also, he shouldn't be shooting so many freaking 3's... I like his confidence though thats the best way to get better, but he needs to spend more time working on his shot. However, his defense was great. He limited AJ for most of the game. AJ never got into any sort of rythmn.
Plays of the game:
Session using AJ... That was perhaps the best play I've seen at Weber since Supaman. Yikes!!
Panos's second two hand slam of his career with Selvig coming in on him.
Hansen hitting a big three and getting fouled
D-Lill's 3 with 1:40 left. He also had some pretty impressive moves. I loved the one where he switched hands in mid-air and made a left handed layup.

Even on egriz they were laughing at Tinkle's silly comments. Montana won the 2nd half by 2 points... That's with Weber (the best Big Sky free throw shooting team) shooting 55% from the line 17-31, and the refs blowing 2 or 3 foul calls on Bullinger that essentially had him on the bench the whole game, and the last 7 minutes fouled out. Session was 1-6 from the line. Rahe can't afford to take Session out of the game, but think what kind of player he could be if he could shoot, his 5 turnovers didn't help either, but he brings so much with his high energy we are just going to have to live with his flaws. I think we are still waiting for Lillard & Bullinger, Session & Hughey to all have solid games on the same night.
