Weber vs Sac

Tough loss Saturday, I thought USU would be a little tougher than UW, but didn't think it would get that out of hand. Time to put it in the rear view and move forward. SUU played Sacramento State this week, who you play next week, and here are my thoughts.

SUU gave SacState an @$$whoopin this week. Their DBs are AWFUL, their receivers are lazy (one play on 3rd down the receiver stepped out of bounds a yard short to avoid being hit), their QB is really solid and makes plays with his feet, their linebackers are pretty decent, their Oline got worked all game, but their DLine is legit! Even though they have a few playmakers, overall, their team is a lazy bunch who got winded mid way through the 2nd quarter, and didn't score again the rest of the game. I think the key to a Weber victory is to put together a few long drives and get them tired, and to air it out to make their DBs try and win the game for them. If you try to line it up and ram it down their throat with the run, it could be a long game because they stuffed the run against us until the 4th quarter. Good luck Saturday and the rest of the season. I hope that our matchup on Oct 22nd sees 2 teams with winning records and playoff aspirations on the line going to head to head in a game that means something.

As for this week, SUU is playing UTSA, a transitioning FBS team who will be in the WAC next year, but got thumped by a D3 team on saturday

The problem is, if Sac really has a good run defense, thats exactly what Weber is gonna come out and try to do, run the ball. We dont believe in creating a gameplan here at Weber :wall:

This game will be interesting, both the Hornets and the Wildcats are coming off 2 really bad 2nd halfs. SUU is legit, and they showed it against a good Sac team, Weber needs to get prepared for this game, our defense has looked horrid in the first 2 weeks, (USU is really legit). Our defense needs to wrap up and tackle somebody, and our offense needs to be a little bit more creative.
