Week 5 Power Rankings

Okay so...these are totally my opinions. Big games this week. After this weekend we will know more about how good everyone really is. Remember, I think on any given weekend one team could beat another. The Big Sky is tough from top to bottom. Just some teams are better than others.

1. Eastern Washington -- This week the Eagles get UC Davis at their place. I'm thinking we will see a score in the 54 - 42 range with the Eagles winning.
2. Cal Poly -- The Stangs travel to North Dakota. There is going to be a lot of rushing offense in this one. Poly gets out of town with a close win 17 - 14 win.
3. Montana -- The Griz face off against the upstart T-Bird. SUU has been getting some love playing in Cedar. Things get a lot rougher this week in Missoula. Montana wins in a quasi blowout. 38 - 21
4. North Dakota -- North Dakota might have the best defense in the Sky, but they aren't quite where they need to be.
5. SUU -- Tough game this week in Missoula after an highly emotional victory in Cedar.
6. Northern Colorado -- After BYE the Cubbies get the Lumberjacks in Greeley. No defense in this one...but the Cubs will prevail in a close one (don't doubt on seeing this one go into OT) because it is in Colorado and they are coming off a BYE. 54 - 51
7. Northern Arizona -- After a tough lose on their home field the Lumbjacks take on the upstart Cubs in Greeley.
8. Montana State -- Montana State gets the egg game of the week. They get to visit the land of Sears in Sacramento. Sac isn't an automatic win. I could actually see the Bobs losing this one if they lose the TO battle.
9. Portland State -- Lucky for the Vikings they get the lowly Bengals in Portland. I'm not 100% sure they can get the W, but they should.
10. Weber State -- BYE; Jay really needs a win this week against BYE.
11. UC Davis -- The Aggies are able to move the ball and score at will against the Eagles. Unfortunately the Eagles can do the same thing against the Aggies. Regrettably the Eagles are better at defense.
12. Idaho State -- The Kramer Sun Set Tour continues in Portland. Playing in Grey, White, Orange or Black the Bengals always look the same.
13. Sac St. -- Does Jody shock the conference and get a surprise win in Sac this week?

Looks about right to me.

Eastern is definitely the team to beat but Cal Poly could be the surprise Big Sky Champ this year if they continue to play the way they are now. (They do get Eastern at home).

Montana despite the loss is still very dangerous.

Weber is hard for me to gauge, if our defense would have turned out the way we all thought it would have I would put us in the top 4. Our offense is scoring points but our defense allows too many.

Im also with you, It wouldn't surprise me if Sac beat MSU.
