Overall a dominating game by the Hornets. OL and DL get the game ball. DL completely dominated UND's front and the OL paved the way for Kellermann to run over UND. It was good to see the Hornets embarrass UND at home and return the favor for last season. The coaches still love to take the foot off the pedal late in games and its clear they just won't ever overcome that issue.

Sad to think the Hornets should be 6-2 (4-0 BSC) heading into the bye. :ohno:

Exactly, frustrating as there are instances of brilliance and then complete moronic meltdowns.

I know Graham may be back, but I am really liking Kellerman and his attitude. We haven't had a back like him since Troy Mills, who he reminds me off. Safron has really stepped it up.

Good game tonight, it was quite enjoyable to watch.
Safron has been phenomenal since week 3. He is making me look bad with all that "he has hit the ceiling" garbage I spewed on this board. Barring injury, he will leave Sac State atop EVERY passing category when he graduates. Who would have thought.

Marshall Sperbeck! They had Safron listed as the back up for MBT at the Stanford game before Fleming arrived. They must have seen something in him as a walkon freshman with other QBs like Carmazzi on the roster. He may not have the strongest arm but he makes up for it in other ways, he's a tough kid. Even the ND announcer after the game today gave a nod to Safron and the Hornets for overcoming all the injuries and playing so well. Hopefully the bye will give us a chance to heal the running backs and OL and be at full strength for Montana. I love to watch Kellerman play but we need some of the speed backs healthy. The bye couldn't have come at a better time, it will be nice to see the other teams beat each other up next week while we rest! Great effort today, looking forward to Montana!

Agreed. The bye is at the perfect time. One game at a time from here on out and we will be getting the Griz after they host EWU this week.

I hope the Griz smoke EWU in an emotional win, then fly out to California and lay a big fat egg in Sacto once again! That would put us at 4-1 in league and possibly in first place (depending on what MSU does between now and then)...

If we play our "A" game, we can probably at least have a shot even if UM does NOT lay an egg. If we play a "C" game (think SOU game), we can win if the Griz lays an egg, but probably not if they bring their "C" game or better. If we play a "D" or "F" game (think SJSU/ASU games) , we're toast no matter what.

That said, I don't think we'll do worse than C-....
