Have to tip my hat to the Wildcats. They are shorthanded but playing with a lot of grit and energy. The tip in Tew did with .4 seconds left at EWU was amazing. The last play of the game at Idaho was a clear foul and should have put the Wildcats at the line with a chance to tie but the refs clearly just wanted to go home and let a wrestling match ensue with 4 seconds left.

Not sure if it would have given the Wildcats an outside chance to finish 6th and avoid a first round game, but honestly it’s highly unlikely they can string 3-4 games together. It would probably mean an NCAA play-in game as well. I’d love to see it, but highly unlikely, and not quite the same meaning of having a good season and capping it off with a conference tournament.

Still, the Wildcats could have just cashed it in and gone through the motions but instead are scrapping and fighting and taking every game to the end. The Northern Colorado game will be interesting to see. The Bears are still playing for a regular season title, so it should be a competitive game from them and not resting players. The Wildcats play that one to the end, and any team would hate to face them in the Tournament as there really is no pressure with nothing to lose.

The team fought to the end, no question. And the foul as Burris grabbed the rebound at the end was very obvious, but I guess the refs didn't have the stones to make that call at the end of the game. Did much better with rebounding and free throws, but the same issues plagued this team as they have all season. Terrible 3 point defense (Idaho had 15 threes at 40% shooting) and poor three point shooting by the Cats. Idaho only scores 18 points in the paint, stop having the guards cheat off their man and give up open threes! Make them beat us on the inside! Threatt was incredible, played every minute. No Co at home will be a huge challenge to finish the regular season.

Where did the foul occur? I see the Idaho player with a hand on Burris hand which is legal in the rule book. Hand is the ball. He looked to land cleanly of contact and seemed to fall on his own. Good no call to me in that situation but
