4-6 vs D1

I picked a little optimistically. NAU over Wazzu is the upset special. UNC will get the beat down special at Kansas. As much as I wanted to pick Great Falls over Idaho State, I think they may have a really legit player in Telfair and may win a few more games than we thought.

NAU looked pretty horrible (and lost) their preseason scrimmage against former WSU Wildcat, Gelaun Wheelwright, and Cal Baptist. I don't think I'd pick them for the Pac 12 upset considering it's so early in the season and the Jacks have 11 freshmen on this years team roster. I have faith that Coach Murphy can coach these kids up but I'm not expecting a top 3 finish this year.

By the way....I'm pretty stoked and I know you guys are too that it's already basketball season. I'll be back to chat with Wildcat fans in the near future.

Welcome back, Jack.

Even with all of the freshmen, I think NAU will be in the top half of the league when it is all said and done. The returning players you do have are quite good and you have some highly rated freshmen entering in. The league should be wide open this year. None of the top three stand out as dominant, and the rest are close enough to get lucky here and there. It will, like always, come down to who can defend their home floor and get a few splits on the road. The champ will have at least 4 losses.

Two days, and we're rolling.

This weekend, 2 or 3 D1 wins. 4 would make me giddy. :twocents:
