My prediction …

Weber State 39, Idaho State 11

Last week …

Final score: Eastern Washington 48, Idaho State 17

Best prediction: Reborn, who had EWU winning 45-14.

Winning prediction(s): Anybody who participated. It hasn’t been an easy season for Idaho State football fans. Those who have made it this far are a hearty bunch. Congrats. One more week and then y’all can start looking forward to 2017.

……………………………………………….

It’s an awfully big weekend for one of the teams entering Holt Arena on Saturday in the rivalry game* that’s not really a rivalry.

With a win, Weber State can finish third in the Big Sky Conference standings, pick up its seventh Division I victory of the season and put itself in OK-to-solid shape to earn an at-large playoff bid. For Wildcats coach Jay Hill, his staff and their players, making the playoffs two years after going 2-10 would be a huge step in the development of the program.

With a victory, I guess one could argue a W could vault the Bengals into the offseason with an injection of positivity. More important than that, though, Idaho State just needs to put together a competitive 60 minutes of football. And let's hope there aren't any injuries in the final game that carry over into the offseason.

28-24 ISU

I predicted before the season started that ISU would win 2 games in the BSC in Sacramento State and Weber State. I will stay with ISU in an upset. ISU has to win this game as it could mean last place in the BSC depending on how Montana State, Sacramento State, and UC Davis finish the season on Saturday.
