The first ever game on the Red in 2010 watching our fans rush the field twice postgame was just unforgettable. The photo of Renard made me smile. What an awesome thread, too many great memories to list. The onside kick in 2012 was just unbelievable too. The post game video is on YouTube and Coach Baldwin has never been better. Watch it, Jimmy Pavel will go down in history for his role in that win. Shaq Hill too. After yesterday it is time to pile up some points and eliminate any 2nd half drama.

Go Eagles, whether you have a ticket or not get to Cheney Saturday. We need you.

So far I've seen two tweets today featuring stats that I jotted down as interesting. So I'm going to post them here, and hope that others weigh in on other interesting tidbits about both teams, either teams or this series in general.

To get it started:

- EWU hasn't lost a game in November (home or away) since 2008
- Montana HC Delaney has only beat one Big Sky team w/ a winning record in his stint as Head Coach
- oh and Montana has never won on the Red Turf :)

What I'm really interested in / don't have time to look up is what is this series at, say in the last 10 years? What other trends between these two teams are noteworthy?

Hope this becomes a fun trend for us, and a nauseating trend for montana.

They would say thy are already nauseated... when they see our red turf.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Over the last 10 years:
Griz 6 wins
EWU wins

Longest win streak in that 10 years: Montana 4 (2006-2009)
EWU has a chance for 3 straight and could tie the 4 win streak with VAJ.

I would venture that in the last 10 years this series has had more victories decided in the last 1 to 2 minutes of play than any other teams in the BSC.

- Eastern is 22-2 in regular season games on the red turf and 8-2 in playoff games.
- If VA plays and wins, how many starters can say they were 3-0 vs the Griz?
- Griz haven't beaten a playoff team since 2009 (if you count the 2011 vacated wins)
- Delaney's only win vs a team with a winning records was their win over a 7-5 MSU team last year.
- The Griz have never won on the red turf
- Swoop is better than Monte
- Baldwin is better than MD
- VA is better than JJ
- Forte is better than Van
- Kupp is better than everyone...

- Almost everyone of these games comes down to the wire and I would expect nothing less out of this one...

Too much riding on this one to have a let down game. Not having Adams will hurt but we have enough talent on this team to win this game at home. No excuses, get it done!

Anyone hear about a Blackout at the game? Also, may be cruising the tailgate area for the 1st time, any posters have spots?..may stop by and say hi!!!

Always look forward to this game. Very tough and competitive. Our offense will put up at least 400 yards on them. Defense needs to step up again.

Jordan West has played enough football to be in "the groove" confident in his abilities and the talent of the entire rest of the team to get the W

It must be Montana week.as some of you know I work for UPS, one of my deliveries is the red lion Inn at the park here in Spokane. I was up by the front desk and noticed a gentleman wearing a Montana hat and a Montana State sweatshirt.' Seems odd ' I say to myself, so I ask him if he was confused, playfully of course. He turns to his wife and says 'come on let's go,' turns his back and walks away. After my delivery I walkup next to him and say 'sir I wasn't trying to be rude or anything' in my nicest customer service voice. And he says to me 'I really don't want to talk to you right now'. I say 'okay, have a nice day and I hope it's a good game tomorrow.' Wow. Grumpy much?
