Well, let's get it on.

Shouldn't be a contest, as I suspect that we'll just be analyzing our new squad.

I'll be watching for the following:

-Harthun. Can this guy shoot like we think he can?

-McMullan. Frosh point guard.

Cataldo. So much is expected. Where's he at with his game?

-Chip and Tapscott should play for a half.

-I'd like to see some of Harvey. I'd like to see if the previous 'Huff' comparison is true.

Comments!

Wholly Lateef! This kid can handle the ball. Assist to turnover ratio for game one is 7:4, but I think think we're in good hands. We're going to need a nickname in short order, I can't go through a season typing 'Lateef,' or 'McMullan' for his career. He was almost JD fast getting the ball down the floor. Speaking of JD, I see he was in the house tonight.

Tapscott. Great as usual.

Harthun is the shooter that we need. 4/7 from beyond the arch, and 5/5 from the stripe. Bam! He seems to be really, really active on the defense as well.

Harvey is athletic, but he needs to apply that on the defensive end of the court. I don't care how high he can jump if he can't guard a guy going by him.

Whitmore. He looked good as well, but went down with an injury. I don't think that he played after that.

Need to see more Cataldo. With his eight minutes of play I could tell one thing. He is longer than Nate. They may be about the same height but he has a longer reach than that of Nate.

All in all, we need to work on defense, and that is Geving's thing...

Oh, and I'm done with the 'oh, it's a local lower level team and we need to be nice' mindset when going to games like this. Yay, your kid plays for this school that is playing us. F*ck you. You're Montana to me from now on.

Great stuff Marty!

With Cataldo, based on some things Geving has said, I'm not sure he will be playing more than about 10 minutes per night. I think in time he will be a good starter, but for this year I think he will mostly be limited to 8-10 minutes per game as a depth guy off the bench.

Ahh hell. Whitmore is out for the season with that elbow injury.
