No, I'm not gonna talk about that. I had fun watching the boys grow this year. They ended the season as a completely different team as to when they started. Everybody is coming back next year. We finished the season with 15 wins. I heard we haven't done that in 10 years. I'm proud to be a season ticket holder and proud to be a fan. Hayford is proving he is the right guy for this position. I"m looking forward to next season already.

Way to go boys. :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap:

I agree 100%. They ended the season much improved and showed a lot of heart. I like the direction the program is moving.

Just throwing this out there, but it seems like EWU started the season looking pretty sharp. Then came a complete collapse in December that lasted about 2 months. Take out those couple of really bad months, and this is a team with only one or two iffy losses.

ditto

OK, what happens to this team when Coach Earlywine returns with the Vandals next year? Idaho has already won a quarterfinal game and is leading league leader Utah Valley in the WAC tourney semis. Sure, this team has potential. But every team says that.

I hope what will happen is the EAGS beat some Vandal arse and send them back to Moscow.

What difference does it make with Earlywine? EWU is a different team. I'm glad Idaho is coming in. It might make the Big Sky stronger.

Well, I think Earlywine will continue to make the Vandals better. In case you didn't notice, we got edged out of the conference tournament this year. It will be even tougher to make it next year with Idaho, unless the conference adds an eighth seed. Does no one else see the irony?

Didn't Idaho find a conference and thus not joining the Big Sky? Or am I imagining that? Either way, I see no reason that anyone would let them be a part of the Sky. They add no value, and would probably bolt again at their first opportunity.

According to Wikipedia;

Idaho left the Western Athletic Conference in July 2013 after a large defection of members to different conferences. (The WAC dropped football after the end of the 2012-13 season.) The Vandals football team is a FBS independent member for the 2013 season before joining the Sun Belt Conference in 2014, while the other teams will rejoin the Big Sky Conference after leaving in 1996.

After this week, our conference is embarrassing. What a terrible showing in the Post Season tourneys...

Makes it look worse for EWU since we couldn't make the conference tourney and the top 4 teams in conference were destroyed in post season tournaments (assuming Weber loses)....

Is not making the tournament a surprise? The last time we had an NBA player on the team we didn't make the tournament either.

clawman,
I noticed on the Sports Center last night Cal Poly destroyed some team, name I don't remember, and Poly record was 14-19, they even announce that Poly was one of five teams with a losing record that made the tournament, and won. I am not into the tournament, prefer watch "Andy Of Mayberry", with used to be little "Opey". :lol: :lol: Take care. Vic
