• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

What happened to the Posters?

At the beginning of every football season the posters come to the Bengals Den and wish the team well and talk ISU football. Once the season starts and some games are played there appears to be a declining amount of posters or interest each week as the season moves into the final games. How can ISU have a good football program when there appears to be little interest with the fans? Even the fans at Holt Arena are quiet at games and often leave the game at half time. I guess the fans are tired of watching the Bengals lose. I do not know. The die hard fans will always be around as they are waiting for that one special season like 1981.

This is my first year here and I live in Yakima so I really don't have much history with this forum or with Holt. From what I saw yesterday there did seem to be a lot of students at the game but not many adults. I do believe that winning does matter in sports, at every level. There is definitely more fan participation when your team is winning, and when they can win every year, and a good program is built, fan participation is very good. In general I think many people are pretty competitive, and in general I think many people do like to win. Who really likes to talk a lot about losing all the time.
