What is wrong with BYU-Provo?

I am well aware that BYU-Provo thinks they are so much better than the other schools in Utah but that isn't what this thread is about.

If you haven't heard, BYU-Provo isn't going to play USU in Logan next season. They say they want the game on a neutral court instead of Logan. But when it is BYU's turn to host the game will still be in Provo (lol).

The 2 teams have the longest running rivalry in the state. Over 200 plus games in over 100 consecuative yrs. BYU-Provo is going to end it in 2007.

What r ur thoughts?

The good news is that USU head coach Stew Morrill said BYU-Provo can take their neutral game n lube it up real nice with some Icy-Hot n turn it sideways n shove it right up their "candy area" where the sun don't shine.

Well Stew didn't quite put it in those exact words...but similar!!

It is not the first time USU has has issues with playing in-state schools. There was a time they wouldn't play WSU at the Dee Event Center and we had to go down to the Delta Center to beat them (twice '96, '99).

The BYU's are just plain silly. Just look at their school colors. They go from royal blue to navy blue. The rest of us don't make changes like that. The Utes are Red, the Aggies had dibs on Navy Blue years ago, and the Cats are the purple greatness. BYU-Provo are simply making things up as they go along.

2 my favorite teams are Utah State and whoever is playing BYU-Provo...
The nicest thing I can say about BYU-Provo is that they are very arrogant and bring a bad name to anyone or anything associated with their university.

Aggie fans are pretty upset right now.....and rightfully so...

Did they give a valid reason to not play usu in logan? Why a neutral court? The only explanation would be they know they don't stand a chance in Logan. I guess now that usu will probably say 'screw you BYU-Provo.' byu's arrogance will once again come out and they will turn this thing around into a they-refused-to-play-us-because-they-knew-we-would-win scenario.. yea right!

BYU's reasoning is basically that they can't win in Logan so they dont want to go there. But they still expect USU to come to Provo (lol).

BYU-Provo doesn't understand that unlike football, USU is the by far better program n USU could care less to play em except for teh fact that it would cost them a sell out crowd by having the game at the Delta Center. So USU says "go lay an egg BYU"

This could be a thread of its own!! lol Seriously...why did BYU-Provo copy USU's colors? BYU-Provo had there own. USU fans are pretty bugged!!

Well it still isn't quite the same as a 100+ yrs (225 game) in a row series. But by the way, WSU n USU have played ever yr from 1973-current except 1995.

The worst part about the Cougar arrogance is that it makes the state of Utah look bad. Also they are disrespectful to the other colleges here. If they really wanna be a private school that thinks they are too good for us all then they should drop there sports programs.

This is a little off of the subject of basketball, but check out last yrs NFL draft. How embarrassing for BYU-Provo to be out done in football by Div I-AA Weber!

Rookie Season Results of 2006 NFL Draft
2006 Paul McQuistan (OL, Weber St.) Rd 3 69 Oakland Started 6 games
2006 Pat McQuistan (OL, Weber St.) Rd 7 211 Dallas Active for 1 game
2006 Todd Watkins (WR, BYU) Rd 7 218 Arizona No appearances

I currently go to USU and we would rather not even see our team play BYU-Provo. Too much drama in Provo (lol) it looks like!
