the Vandals and BSU this fall? I'm not saying that the Bengals will lose because if there is anything that we learned from last year, anything can happen. Just ask Michigan.
Boise State will be tough, definitely an uphill battle. Idaho, well, Idaho is a very winnable game.
My thoughts... Bronco Stadium will unveil it's newest addition to the stadium during the Bengal game. That will bring the capacity to about 32,000 fans. It'll be full and it'll be loud. The Bengals cannot be intimidated. That, in itself will be hard enough.
BSU will have a new O-Line and a new QB. If there is a good time to take 'em on, it's early. In order to stay in the game, the Bengals will have to pressure the QB. That means blitz early and often. All out blitz, delayed blitz, you name it. That may leave Bengal DB's on an island, but I think that's the best way to stay in the game. On the offensive side, the Bengals have to control the clock and do so by keeping the Bronco defense off balance. If the Bengals want to stay in the game, they cannot run a vanilla offense. If the Bengals don't control the clock and keep the Broncos off balance, physically, I don't see the Bengals staying with the Broncos.
Idaho, well, they won one game last year. They slipped by Cal Poly in Moscow 20-13. They are feeling good about the incoming class. But, it will also be early in the season. I think it will be a better match-up. The Vandals, at least last year, were still taking the cheap, late shots. They will be looking for a game to gain confidence for their conference games. I believe that ISU will see a whole bunch of the cheap crap. Hopefully the refs will intercede.
