What's up with Montana State?

About a month ago the Bobcats lose to Montana in overtime in Missoula in a game they really should have won if not for end of regulation heroics by the Grizz. Then the Bobcats go on to win 3 in a row including a win over Weber. I'm thinking they are clearly the #3 team in the conference. Since then they have lost 3 of 4, including two straight home losses to North Dakota (ok) and Northern Colorado (?). In those last two losses their opponents shot 54% and 62% from the field. On the Bobcats' home floor. WOW.

MSU was without junior center Paul Egwuonu and junior small forward Flavien Davis for the second game in a row. Egwuonu continues to battle concussion-like symptoms. Davis is out of town because of a death in the family.

MSU has plenty of time to get these 2 back, & firing on all cylinders again before Saturday March 2 when they host Montana in Bozeman. Montana then must head South to play in Cedar Monday March 4.

No offense for this insult (lol)...dude, are you a newb? This is big sky basketball, all is going as expected. This is quintessential bobcat basketball. Its called the annual meltdown. Now I feel bad mocking MSU but it is what happens.

Sadly I even called it. E-Mailed a few friends a week ago and said I think its about to start. And now they have lost 3 of 4. I fired off another email last night asking if the bobs will lose out for 2013...it could happen - 7-13 after a 7-5 start.

:yikes:

There are two teams in the Big Sky the Bobcats get motivated to play, Montana and Weber and that is why MSU looks good when they play UM or Weber kinda wish they played like that against everyone, this conference needs to be more than Weber State and Montana

when i was a freshman we took a bus to bozeman and won the game. afterword we were chanting 12 straight wins. i hope the bozeman faithful werent too annoyed. the weber coach came over and was jumping around in the crowd. it was hilarious!

if bobs lose in poca they will have lost 4 straight and 5 of 6 when they leave ogden cuz we gotta get pay back for that game in bozeman. we should not have lost that game. we should have a great crowd too. we have over 7,000 last saturday night!

North Dakota is the only road team to win in the state of Montana so far........................ :thumb:

UNC beat MSU in Bozeman, but regardless, it's a great accomplishment to go back home even 1-1 from the Montana roadtrip

I would say that it more about how well ISU is playing than an MSU meltdown. Evans has got ISU playing at a much higher level than their talent would indicate.

I am a total ISU fan for at least the next two days.

GO ISU!!! KICK THE GRIZ, WHILE THEY ARE DOWN!!

i believe early in this thread i said this is quintessential bobcat bball. will they win another game? if we are going to rely on them to beat the griz well good luck with that.

griz most likely will win out.

I'm going out on a lymb here, and predicting an ISU win, 65 - 62.

Also, I am predicting that MSU will put up a better fight against us than UM did. We will win, but it will be a much more hotly contested game. I don't think that MSU will sit back in a soft zone all game long. ISU mad it interesting, with their agressive zone, but we have soundly beaten the teams that want to zone us lately. :coffee:

I really hope we dont have to play these guys again, they seem to just shoot lights out against us, what the heck? Why us?

Also I hope we never, Ever, EVER see that reffing crew again, I have never seen a team get away with playing thug basketball like I did tonight, what the heck Big Sky refs??? does it really take a Weber player being thrown to the ground just to call a foul?? really. But they didnt hesitate to call ticky tacks on our side

BIG SKY REFS SUCK

Credit to MSU, they played thier hearts out.

BUT HOW ABOUT BOLOMBOY??? YEEEEEAAAHH, that was awesome what a game for our FRESHMAN.
