Whats wrong with Portland??????????

I want you to picture this: the organizers (including Black Lives Matter and many of the usual Portland suspects) trail the "Black Bloc" when they can't stay ahead of them (aka anarchists, most of whom are white, dress in black, and think revolution is the only answer) and when they can't prevent windows getting smashed, help clean up and make sure people around and inside are safe.

There was some cooperation involved in getting people arrested this weekend. However, this isn't "allowed." People make up their own minds, and the vast majority of the time no kind words are going to stop them. Same is true with Republicans and their congressmen, same is true with the Middle East and people who take a radicalized stand, same is true with white America and any nut who ends up shooting up a school or other public place.

Portland, the big city in Oregon, a "Blue State" along with Washington and California. The Left Coast by any other name. Portland is very much Liberal and many like to get together in protest marches to collectively feel better after Hillary's unexpected loss. These fear pet causes will come now to a screeching halt. Coming together, these feel, apparently, that their collective voices will be heard nationally and, in fact, worldwide, and they will not go gentle into that good night. They are playing to a world audience right now, and that is what is energizing them. That is my estimation. How much longer? As long as it bring them attention, I would think.

This leads me to think that Portland State would most likely do better in a conference with fellow "Blue States," California, Washington and Hawaii. Big West Conference. Perhaps the reason it continually tends to under-perform is the wind is out of its political sails whenever it plays teams from "Red" states like Utah, Arizona, Montana, Idaho, etc. In the conference, it seems to feel more at home playing against N Colorado and the California schools, even Hawaii.

I see Eastern Washington University area is in the same camp, so I don't know what is wrong with Portland. Perhaps many of the protesters were paid for through George Soros money.

I know a bunch of people wondering where their check is.

Billionaire Globalist Soros Exposed as Hidden Hand Behind Trump Protests — Provoking US ‘Color Revolution’
Posted on November 11, 2016 by Jay Syrmopoulos

Washington, D.C. – Billionaire globalist financier George Soros’ MoveOn.org has been revealed to be a driving force behind the organizing of nationwide protests against the election of Donald Trump — exposing the protests to largely be an organized, top-down operation — and not an organic movement of concerned Americans taking to the streets as reported by the mainstream media.

Wednesday saw protests in the streets of at least 10 major U.S. cities. Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, D.C., Portland, Ore., St. Paul, Minn., Seattle, and several other cities saw protests, according to USA Today.

In light of the protests and rioting that have transpired since the election of Trump, a closer analysis of the dynamic at play is warranted to gauge whether it’s an organic grassroots movement, or something much more organized, sophisticated and potentially dangerous.

Soros’ affiliated organization MoveOn.org released the following press release Wednesday afternoon:

Americans to Come Together in Hundreds Peaceful Gatherings of Solidarity, Resistance, and Resolve Following Election Results

Hundreds of Americans, dozens of organizations to gather peacefully outside the White House and in cities and towns nationwide to take a continued stand against misogyny, racism, Islamophobia, and xenophobia.

Tonight, thousands of Americans will come together at hundreds of peaceful gatherings in cities and towns across the nation, including outside the White House, following the results of Tuesday’s presidential election.

The gatherings – organized by MoveOn.org and allies – will affirm a continued rejection of Donald Trump’s bigotry, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and misogyny and demonstrate our resolve to fight together for the America we still believe is possible.

Within two hours of the call-to-action, MoveOn members had created more than 200 gatherings nationwide, with the number continuing to grow on Wednesday afternoon.

Now come reports from various protest locations that reveal a substantially coordinated effort, and not the organic grassroots showing by concerned Americans, as the mainstream media is reporting. Photos from Austin, Texas reveal a line of busses the “protestors” arrived in, making their appearance seem substantially less than organic – with a direct implication of being strategically orchestrated.

Anti-Trump protestors in Austin today are not as organic as they seem. Here are the busses they came in. #fakeprotests #trump2016 #austin pic.twitter.com/VxhP7t6OUI

With evidence mounting, the question must be asked; is George Soros working through his front organizations to foment an American revolution?

@BeshoyBadie @desjax @erictucker Pretty evident that the signs were printed by Soros and Creamer groups. IIRC Soros linked w/ MB & Huma pic.twitter.com/KgXvIQr2b8

Note that the group is actively organizing protests to a democratic election that no one is contesting the legitimacy of in terms of whether the vote was rigged, etc. Essentially, they are displeased with the results and are calling for people to rise up and not accept the results. For an organization that feigns to promote democracy, their actions speak otherwise.

“This is a disaster. We fought our hearts out to avert this reality. But now it’s here,” MoveOn.org staff wrote to members on Wednesday. “The new president-elect and many of his most prominent supporters have targeted, demeaned, and threatened millions of us—and millions of our friends, family, and loved ones. Both chambers of Congress remain in Republican hands. We are entering an era of profound and unprecedented challenge, a time of danger for our communities and our country. In this moment, we have to take care of ourselves, our families, and our friends—especially those of us who are on the front lines facing hate, including Latinos, women, immigrants, refugees, Black people, Muslims, LGBT Americans, and so many others. And we need to make it clear that we will continue to stand together.”

Perhaps the most absurd part of the protests is that President-elect Trump hasn’t made a single policy decision yet — and, in fact, the entire section of his website regarding banning Muslims was scrubbed shortly after his election. This denotes that anything said during the campaign was most likely simple election campaign rhetoric and subsequent framing of said rhetoric by the opposition.

The left wing organization is one of a number of progressive organizations affiliated with Soros’ Open Society Foundation. Soros-affiliated organizations across the world are deeply connected to various color revolutions, the Arab Spring, and a number of other political uprisings across the globe.

According to a report in New Eastern Outlook:

The totality of what is revealed in the three hacked documents show that Soros is effectively the puppet-master pulling most of the strings in Kiev. Soros Foundation’s Ukraine branch, International Renaissance Foundation (IRF) has been involved in Ukraine since 1989. His IRF doled out more than $100 million to Ukrainian NGOs two years before the fall of the Soviet Union, creating the preconditions for Ukraine’s independence from Russia in 1991. Soros also admitted to financing the 2013-2014 Maidan Square protests that brought the current government into power.

Soros’ foundations were also deeply involved in the 2004 Orange Revolution that brought the corrupt but pro-NATO Viktor Yushchenko into power with his American wife who had been in the US State Department. In 2004 just weeks after Soros’ International Renaissance Foundation had succeeded in getting Viktor Yushchenko as President of Ukraine, Michael McFaul wrote an OpEd for the Washington Post. McFaul, a specialist in organizing color revolutions, who later became US Ambassador to Russia, revealed:

Did Americans meddle in the internal affairs of Ukraine? Yes. The American agents of influence would prefer different language to describe their activities — democratic assistance, democracy promotion, civil society support, etc. — but their work, however labeled, seeks to influence political change in Ukraine.

Anyone familiar with the history of the Soros Open Society Foundations in Eastern Europe and around the world since the late 1980’s, will know that his supposedly philanthropic “democracy-building” projects in Poland, Russia, or Ukraine in the 1990’s allowed Soros the businessman to literally plunder the former communist countries’ wealth, according to the New Eastern Outlook.

During the 2016 presidential cycle, Soros committed $25 million dollars to the 2016 campaign of Hillary Clinton. Per the standard Clinton operating procedure, this was indicative of the symbiotic relationship of favors between the billionaire and his array of political puppets across the globe.

As a testament to the power wielded by Soros, contained within WikiLeaks’ recent release of hacked DNC emails, is a message from billionaire globalist financier George Soros to Hillary Clinton while she was U.S. Secretary of State, that clearly reveals Clinton as a Soros puppet.

Found within the WikiLeaks’ Hillary Clinton email archive is an email with the subject ‘Unrest in Albania,’ in which Soros makes clear to Clinton that “two things need to be done urgently.” He then directs the Secretary of State to “bring the full weight of the international community to bear on Prime Minister Berisha” and “appoint a senior European official as mediator.” Revealing the influence he wields within the corridors of power, Soros then provides Secretary of State Clinton with three names from which to choose. Unsurprisingly, Clinton acquiesced and chose one of the officials recommended by Soros — Miroslav Lajcak.

Make no mistake that the events you’re seeing transpire nationwide are being orchestrated in part by a billionaire political elite class that is looking to subvert the will of the American people by attempting to foment a new American revolution. Soros’ formula has been duplicated in numerous nations, and it looks as if he now has the U.S. in his sights as the next target.

Please share this critically import story in hope of waking people up to the globalist agenda at work here in America!

There is nothing wrong with Portland; it is a nice place. If people want to demonstrate, let them demonstrate. Are they blocking traffic? Mon Dieu, Portland is about blocked traffic. If they want to damage property, have the police stop them.

Really an unattractive situation. Ho ho ho.

I was messing around in Chicago on Saturday morning. Decided to go to Wrigleyville and catch the famous Wrigley Field sign proclaiming the Cubs championship. So guess what was going on around it?

Yup, Santacon.

Portland is part of an overall urban phenomenon, it will survive your Russian news leaks and orange guy, these urban areas frankly control two-thirds of the American economy (not that some of that couldn't afford to siphon off to handle aggrieved areas of this nation), and it will fight.

None of which will help urban athletic departments, but I digress.

Horrendous Traffic

Traffic congestion has quadrupled in the past ten years and yet neither the state, city or county are building new roads and when they do talk about transportation, it's usually light rail or bicycles. I think that Gov. Kate Brown, incoming Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and Multnomah County commissioners must seize the opportunity to address the biggest concern of working Oregonians.

I estimate that the average working Oregonian in the Portland metro area is spending over two to three hours per day stuck in traffic. It did not help that the Port of Portland lost a major supplier of the container shipping business. All the goods that used to travel by the Columbia River must now be trucked to Seattle and elsewhere, with the wages paid to dock workers there. That has dramatically increased semi-tractor truck traffic.

None of our elected officials seem to want to re-open talks with Washington leaders about the Columbia River Crossing bridge. We need it even more now than we did two or three years ago. Clark County commuters who work in the Portland area cannot be happy stuck in traffic every day and they are paying Oregon income taxes. What are the taxpayers getting for their 9 percent taxes?

A major reason that Measure 97 failed is that the state said nothing about building roads or improving transportation.

A major reason that Measure 97 failed is that the state said nothing about building roads or improving transportation. Voters feel like their current taxes are not being well managed. Why give the state more money to waste while taxpayers sit in traffic? Their employers were threatened by a 2.5 percent gross receipts tax that voters defeated.

The City of Portland had a plan to fix the roads and even got approval for a 10-cent per gallon gas tax but where are the road improvements? At the state level, there has not been a lane added to Interstate-5 in the past 40 years to my knowledge. No major expansion on Interstate 84, Interstate 205 or Highway 26 east that I can see.

There has been some expansion on Highway 26 west and it helped, but traffic has grown. There are good jobs in Hillsboro if you can get to them.

The political slogan for Bill Clinton 24 years ago was, "The economy, stupid." In 2017-18, it should be "The traffic, stupid." If the governor and mayor fail to do anything in the next term to build roads, bridges and improve traffic congestion, they can forget about new taxes and enjoy their one and only term in elected office.

#87 Renaming the Rose Garden

Spock-Peeing-on-RG-WP.png

This isn’t about the team, but the money-grabbing, gut-wrenching renaming of the Rose Garden to the <expletive deleted>. This all began when the logic-based reasoning of extraterrestrial humanoids called Vulcans, descended onto Earth. Overcome by a furious sexual desire known as “pon farr“, they focused on screwing as many Blazers they could. To achieve this, the Vulcans set their sights on selling the naming rights of the “Rose Garden” in 2007, and finally found their mate in Moda Health (formally ODS).

Spock Peeing on RG WPThe Rose Garden name had so much Portland pride beaming out of it, sometimes, it was mistaken for the sun. When the Vulcans tore it down, it was like watching all the Vitamin D drain from the city. Why didn’t the Vulcans choose a partner that had some connection to Portland? Nike Air Forum, Adidas Dome, Intel Center, Pendleton Pavilion, VooDoo Donuts’ Hole Arena… all better, all local.

Moda Health wanted to build their new brand very quickly after they became a partner for the Affordable Care Act (Cover Oregon). In their defense, buying the naming rights to the Rose Garden, à la Pepsi, Staples and Target, would accomplish just that. However, the public backlash with renaming it would further hurt the perception of Moda Health. All Blazers’ fans hate the new name:

th

“It will always be listed as ‘Rose Garden’ in our database.” – Radio Cab operator

“It broke my heart to read about all the people needing couple dollar prescriptions while Moda Health is spending millions on sports arena marketing.” – Season Ticket Holder

“A terrible name that doesn’t roll off the tongue, like saying “Rose Garden.” – Tom’s Pizza and Sports Bar regular

Ultimately, Moda Health isn’t the bad guy here. The Vulcans are going to apply the $40 million to the <expletive deleted>. They claim it will improve the “fan experience”. In the end, fans will put up with it, as we do every year with just three months of sun.
