:dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: talk about beating a dead horse. there have been countless threads on here about the lack of marketing etc, etc, etc.... NOBODY at WSU gives a flying monkey shizz about advertising/marketing.
BTW, the new marketing guy Ron whatever his name is, he is a real douche! :twocents:

idk about that. last year i had flyers going out the week of every game. i and my committee worked our a$$ to advertise those games. and we have 3 games in the next week and a half and nothing

Someone deserves a lot of credit for all the billboards around town, for the food at the games for the students, for the Weber State ads when you walk in to gas stations, for the pole banners downtown etc etc etc... Were not ranked, were not Kentucky, we haven't been to the tourney in many years. I think 5-6k is pretty good for a couple of games against midmajors. What we need to focus on is getting a lot of students and getting them loud. It only takes 2 students on the front row and 2 back a few rows, to coordinate chants and get people going. The bigger and louder the student section, the more fans want to be there.

Now let's pack the house for BYU!

This is true, only problem is you have to wear a purple wrist band to sit in the first 4 rows, that's the stupidest thing I have heard. When we found out we couldn't sit in the first 4 rows I know we didn't care to be part of the student section. The funny part is only half of the first 4 rows even were filled. Whoever decided that epic fail and shame on you!!!! I know me and my friends along with a lot of people sitting around us were complaining and I know a lot of support chanting was lost for that as well. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

Well when at tip the first four rows have not been filled we try to bring people down, and people that said they would move at tip and no one will do that. i think we need to look past what any feels about the first 3 not 4 rows being reserved to SAA students and look at the greater goal. A LOUDER more ROWDY student section. lets put aside are views for this coming game about where we can against The Team Down South, and actually put forth effort to cheer

:pissed: Boy, do I miss the good ole Purple Pak! That was a fun student section. Why are we having so much trouble getting students to games? This puzzles me every year. And wrist bands? Are these given to SAA members who won't even bother to show up ? Shame on ya'all.
I don't know how many students visit this site but, if there are just a few that can inspire others...I'm calling you out, man! SHOW UP...PAINT UP...STAND UP.. and YELL...sheesh how hard can that be for free? And let's not forget the post game Victory Dew. It's a great time to be a Wildcat basketball fan!

Couldn't agree with you more...this is a decent idea once we get the demand for people wanting to sit up close, but right now it just doesn't work. I am not on the SAA board anymore. I joined so I could have my usual seat. I have been in touch with them and threw out some ideas their way. The first thing I would like to see if their board members sitting in their 2nd row seats...not leaving them empty to go sit down two sections over. Definitely alienating to students who have never been before, and to fans like Dubs who were on the front row essentially all of last year. First come, first serve. I will personally save seats for board members who are doing things pre-game if they want them and will sit in them. That's what was done for me for 3 seasons.

If anybody has a problem with how loud the student section is, your more then welcome to come get in it! If your not a student take a night class or something. It only takes one or two people with a lot of energy and passion that will start cheers and get everyone else going. We have plenty of students willing to go to the game and cheer if everyone else does. We don't have enough that will cheer when no one else does and thats what it takes to get everyone going. We just need a few freshmen and sophmores to come in with the passion that some of the new alumni had, so we can keep this thing going.

Also, If anyone has a problem with the adverstising your more then welcome to go passout flyers on campus. I have done it plenty of times and it works!
