Finding out Mook is out for the season?

Losing to Idaho St?

Losing to Idaho St. on a last second 3?

Playing UT-A on Feb 18?

Being relegated to ESPN3 while Nevada game is on ESPN?

What a week.....

Listening to The Gordon Monson show (same station that broadcasts our games & coaches shows & interviews) yesterday they have their version of opening smash to start the show and go in depth into B.yu, Utah, & USU games over the weekend & then mention some crap about Montana in the drivers seat, and no teams from Utah heading to the Dance. Although I guess it's good that they didn't go into Weber losing to an awful ISU team, and our inability to break a press to save our lives.....

It would be nice if things turned around Thursday night, with a win against PSU, and Montana loss. This is the only game I see Montana possibly slipping up on before we meet.

Mook going out for the year is #1, but just the fact that we lost to ISU is a very very very close second.

This loss really hurts, since right now UM is playing better ball than us, and we still have to play @ NAU, @ MSU, @ UNC and @ UM. Montana has the easiest schedy up to when we meet. thier hardest game is @ MSU. Which is who they play next. You know the saying "if you just take care of business it'll take care of itself". But right now it doesnt hurt to have a little help. Along with being Wildcat fans this weekend, we must also be Bobcat fans as well. I hate saying things like that and if we would have taken care of business this conversation wouldnt be happening.

Having said this, this loss might have been just what we needed, maybe the boys will wake up and start playing better basketball now. Hopefully it happens and Weber runs Portland State through the meat grinder.

What I would like to see happen is we win the Conf, get to host and play Idaho State again, so that we can give them a royal beatdown.

As for the bracketbuster, I doubt we would have had that great of a game even if we had beaten ISU, but Texas Arlington looks like it could really be a great matchup, Im looking forward to the game, the fact that we finally got a different kind of team to the Dee for once is refreshing (even if they are only here thanks to the bracketbuster) and the fact that we have been shoved to espn3 is our own fault, once again if we had taken care of business..... at least we are on some sort of espn nationally broadcasted game, its still good exposer for our team and school.

If we believe in causation...then we can highlight those variables which could have directly attributed to an event transpiring. Granted, we can't say that Mook's injury is the cause of the other things occurring, but it could be a correlation to them. Nonetheless, each "event" is bad, and each are attributed to one another, except for Nevada getting a TV game, causing a domino effect of sorts. So, evidently, Mook's injury is the worst thing that could have happened to Weber (finally Weber has a legitimate PF and he is hit with a string of injuries...just our luck).

    bahahahahaa. you sound like you have recently written a masters thesis or something! For sure the injuries to Mook and Big Jim are #1. Those two would have played key roles to our success for the rest of the season, tournament play, and, cross your fingers, NCAA tournament time. An Idaho State loss sucks, but doesn't play too much into our performance in the Big Sky tournament, like losing two key players does.

you also forgot one, hajek out for the year.
Hajek probably isn't done for the year. He's progressing, althogh he got dinged up in practice this week. I wouldn't be shocked to see him gradually worked back into the rotation before the Big Sky tourney begins. :coffee:

Actually, Hajek IS done for the year. His knee cap popped out and coach is going to hold him out for the rest of the year. :ohno: :ohno:

That's news to me. News that effing SUCKS! I have a feeling we'd need his size come tourney time. Ugh!! What the hell is happening to this team? Does Wayne Tinke have a Wildcat voodoo doll up in Missoula? :puke:
