Who is better?

I think the Grizz have more talent and it's still hard to believe they allowed Weber to run all over them. If they give Santiago the same look, he will put up huge numbers. I don't think Bartles (assuming he will still be the QB) will be any better against UM than he was against Weber and I think he will need to be. Coming off a bye week and especially after seething over a home loss to Weber for two weeks, I think that it's going to be taken out on UND. If I were putting money down, it would be on UM in this one.

UND is a good team, but Montana is better. Why? UND does not have a good pass defense and Montana can definitely pass the ball if they want to. That issue could spell doom for the no-namers for the rest of the season. We are a questionable passing team and were able to do whatever we wanted. It isn't because our TEs or WRs aren't talented, they are, our QB isn't the best passer. Our WRs made some impressive catches Saturday night. What was frustrating was that they also dropped passes that hit them in the hands. I personally feel it was because they were so shocked the ball hit them in the hands, but that's me. :-D

If Weber would have come out throwing the ball from the get-go and gotten over their obsession with having to run the ball (Hill has been a run first guy the whole time, he gets it from Mac, Whittingham, and to a lesser extent from Anderson), the score in Saturday's game would not have been close. It took three quarters for Weber to start throwing the ball. Once they did that, they moved the ball with relative ease. One thing that worries me about Jay Hill is that he is starting to resemble McBride a little bit. Mac, it seemed, would rather win time of possession than the football game. :? If you have a strong defense and a two-dimensional offense, why not score at will?

My only concern with Montana is their third string quarterback, if he is halfway decent he will tear UND's secondary up, however put him under pressure like Weber did and it's a completely different story, Weber hit UM's Qbs all day, if North Dakota can do that they can probably force some turnovers.

I do think Montana is the better team, but if Montana is unable to pass on UND, it could be a bad day for UM

Flat out, we were out coached the first half of the UND game. Fortunately, we were forced to adjust and throw the ball. Clark has a cannon for an arm, however, accuracy and touch are lacking. More importantly he has not shown any ability to look off a receiver yet or to progress to a second or third option. Some of that may be play calling.
