Who's coming down to San Jose?

Spartan fan here-

I just wanted to invite all you Hornets down to SJ for the game this Thursday vs. my Spartans. It should be a lot of fun as it is the opener for both our teams and SJSU has added a fireworks show for after the game. I was surprised to see that it was the first game ever between the Spartans and the Hornets. Let's do it up right as CSU brothers so there will be many more in the future.

A little bit of info:

Gates open 5 hours before kick off. There is plenty of tailgating that will be happening even though it's a school night, so dont be shy :lol: . Spartan fans are a welcoming bunch so you can pretty much walk up to any tailgate and get a frosty beverage as long as you are willing to talk about your team.

The best lots to tailgate in are on 10th street.

It's not looking good for me. I would no doubt be in attendance if this was a Saturday game. The Thursday game at ASU in week 2 also kills the possibility of making that trip. I'm very disappointed both games are Thrusday night. hno:

My brother graduated from SJSU, so we are going down to watch the game and making it a family get together. We're not too happy that it's on Thursday night, but I hope that we are getting some extra money out of it.

Lots of games being played on Thursday night 8/29 (first day of the season). I think many schools know that the Labor Day weekend holiday has a lot of folks gone on Saturday. More students from SJSU will make it to the game on Thursday night than would have on Sat, thats for sure.

Pretty upset. Was going to make the trip, but work got in the way. Couldn't afford to split for the day. This was the ultimate game for me, but I guess I'll watch it DVR'd from home. Kinda relieved in one way though. Rooting against the Spartans was making me feel dirty.

Exactly. No TV made forced me to play with the work schedule so I can hop on the booster bus.

I will be down in SJSU tonight supporting the Hornets...son is still on IR for another month, but they have him filming so he can travel...lol

I have a buddy who's company does the ticket/marketing for SJSU football and gave me 12 tickets...so I am using about 5/6 so if anyone needs a free ticket or 2 inbox me....they are General Admission.

Hahaha! As I was driving to work, I seriously thought of turning on westbound 80 towards San Jose. Hornets, stadium I practically grew up in, hometown. It was the perfect storm (more like wave. Former surfer here). I'm so upset they moved it to a Thursday! It is gonna be hard not being there, but crack a cold one for me!
