• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Why General Admission makes sense

The student section had always been G.A. (general admission) at prior Big Sky Tournaments hosted by Weber, until 2007 when the brillant athletic staff decided it made more sense to sell reserved seating and lie about it to the students. First, they said that that is how it had always been done: I have tickets that are stamped General Admission from 03, and my sister has GA tickets from 95 and 99. Then made the excuse that it was a Big Sky thing (if thats true give Lolerton the bird and tell him that Weber is more interested in maximizing sells). I don't thing that is how the Big Sky does it though: last season at the Rose Garden all PSU student sections were GA (at least thats what their student booster group told us), and supposedly thats how it was at NAU in 06. Third, that it was easier for the Dee Staff: I don't know how that could be, but wouldn't the university be more interested in getting the maximum amount of students to the games, and making it easier for the students to get their tickets? What is better being able to randomly pick up a coupld of GA passes in your spare time or in-between classes, or having to get all the people you want to sit next to at the games and then getting everyone together to go over to the Dee to buy your tickets? It doesn't take a PhD to understand those dynamics! I really like and admire our AD...but sometimes bad decisions need to be corrected as a way to get the student sections completely filled.

Next issue... Why are the tickets sooo freakin expensive for season ticket holders? Hey catcat did you get a letter in the mail from the ticket office?
