Webergrad02 was kind enough to welcome me to the board and asked a few questions. I wrote a response and then thought maybe I should make it a new topic, so here goes:
Thanks, Webergrad02, it's good to be here.
The Wildcats looked calm and confident last night in Bozeman; maybe they caught a second wind somehow because Randy Rahe thought they looked tired two days earlier but praised their energy and toughness on Saturday.
I hope you'll check out the story again, I've updated it with postgame video from Jordan Richardson, Richaud Gittens and Rahe (watch for a cameo by Dev Berry, it was pretty funny): http://www.standard.net/stories/2014/02/22/weber-state-gets-back-track-cruises-past-montana-state" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
As for joining the board, I'd call it a strategy by me to increase views on our Weber State coverage -- pretty similar to what I'm doing on Twitter (@RoyBurtonSE and @RoyBurton). I think I'll enjoy getting to know Wildcats fans here on the forum and sharing what insights I can (I'll be reading for your insights as well), but I'm going to be upfront that my goal is to get as many of you as possible to check out our features, game stories, videos, slideshows, etc., at Standard.net.
I might be preaching to the choir here, but since you're all gathered here online on this board to talk about the Wildcats anyway, I hope you'll enjoy the coverage. I've been trying to add a few extras, like this pregame video I did with Randy on Saturday (http://www.standard.net/stories/2014/02/22/gameday-wildcats-bobcats-clawing-big-sky-position" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false and this one with Coach A in Cedar City (http://www.standard.net/stories/2014/02/13/former-weber-state-coach-ron-abegglen-breaks-down-wsusuu-matchup-and-makes-predic" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false, and I'm going to keep experimenting to see what else I can do that will get you to click through and help make Weber State sports stories the most-read on our website.

Welcome to the fan board. It would be nice if you posted an actual message and didn't just post a link to your stories. Is this a new seo strategy by the paper to link your stories to message boards? It would be nice if you would share some of your insights to the team. You are closer than most of us are.
Thanks, Webergrad02, it's good to be here.
