Wierd game SS vs UNC

Total yards for Sac State 172 and UNC 72. Total passing yards for both teams combined 29. Sac State did not even attempt a pass. One wierd game...

I saw that. How bizarre. Only 2 completed passes for the entire game by both teams. The game report was vague... was it played in Boston-esque fog or something?

Nobody expects much from Northern Colorado... hell, they lost to an NAIA team already this season. But they hung 4 TDs on Montana and couldn't even get 100 yards on Sac State. As for Sac State, they've looked pretty good in all outings except one this season, so this seems unthinkable. I know their top 2 receivers were hurt, but still...

Sac State ran into some unexpected weird weather yesterday at UNC. Swirling winds, heavy rain and cold throughout the game, by the end the field was getting pretty muddy. The forecast was for 60s and clear!
Because of the weather the coaches went to a low risk ball control game plan. They kept the ball on the ground, and tried to take advantage of Northern Colorado's mistakes and it worked. They didn't even send anyone back to receive punts, just went for the block. Fleming did have one pass on 4th and 19 for a TD but it was called back for offensive PI so it didn't count in the stats as a pass. Congrats on your win yesterday at NAU, I watched as much as BigSkyTV would let me. Looking forward to you guys coming to Sac on the 22nd, should be a good game, I would expect Fleming to thow a few more passes than he did yesterday!

What GL said. Also I'm hoping this low statistical game vaults our defense into one of the leading defensive units. :-P
