Weber has a favorable conference schedule. They get the two top teams at home. And they showed two years ago that they can win in Bozeman and Flagstaff. I think every game on Weber's conference schedule is winnable. Go Cats!

Its not a bad spot to be in. What it means is that the media and coaches are overlooking the Cats.

What I don't understand is how everyone thinks Eastern is going to be so GOOD. Didn't they lose the most? Oh they also have a Jimmy Barnes.

I agree, there is much less pressure being picked 4th. And although they will still be good, I think Montana will be down a little from the usual Montana standard. By their coaches' own admission, they did lose a lot of starters. And transitioning to a new coach could cause some problems. I look for them to lose at least one conference game, and maybe two. That could leave the door open for someone else to sneak in there and win the conference. Also, I look for Sac St to be this years dark horse. And I don't believe NAU will be as good as some think. Steel has them ranked in his top ten, and Montana's coach voted them number 1 (coaches can't vote for their own team).

I think he started at SMU in 2008, then a true freshman came in last year and gave him a 4 month break from football. They're really touting this guy, though.

I don't understand why NAU is getting so much press. They literally played two good games last seasons(UM, MSU) and won one of them (MSU). In fact they had UM and EWU both in Flagstaff on the ropes late and could not finish. I'll bet money that WSU and UM meet on October 30th undefeated in the BSC, but then WSU goes on a pretty hard core 3 week road trip. NAU and MSU are totally beatable, its the consecutive road games that is the real wild card. That trip will really test the boys' focus and metal toughness. they're gonna have to earn those wins.

WSU will finish either number 1 or 2... NAU has done nothing in recnt years to be picked above WSU or anyone else. They do not deserve a number 9 seed in anyones polls... To me, they haven't earned that respect yet....

The only reason I am worried about the MSU and NAU games is because they are back to back. I think we will be good enough to be competetive and possibly win the BSC. We will know what this team is made of when we play @ Sac. Not that I think UNC will be easy, its just Sac will be our first real test especially considering its a road game and Sac seems to get better every year. Eastern had both TJ and Nicholls last year, and we still smoked them, Higgins will be the best QB in the Sky, Herrick from NAU will be a close 2nd.

Untill Montana is knocked off then they deserve to be picked #1, But having said that I have a feeling this will be the year Montana wont finish 1st. And MSU needs an offense to go with that defense of thiers.

GO WILDCATS

I agree. The Sac St. game will be pivotal. The back to back MSU, NAU road games at the end of a long season will be plain ole tough. I am absolutely confident that WSU will be 3-0 in those games and 8-0 in conference and 2-1 ooc.

I had the Wildcats picked 6th, they've lost more than they realize on both sides of the ball.

A 6-5 season should be Hoped for!

Yeah, and what exactly does MSU have coming back? Your Offense isn't going to be better and your defense will be worse.

Once again, Weber's offense will be potent. Weber will have one of the best OL's, QB's, WRs, TEs, and Fullback.

talk about the perpetually overrated. MSU has consistently under performed over the past 5 yrs, which means they no longer under perform, they're just plain bad... hands down, the worse offense in the BSC (It's like watching the Grizzlies scout offense) with a moderately decent defense. WSU had to play their worse game in 3 years to drop one to MSU.

It wont be easy for any team to win the BSC title this year, but I guarantee one thing, WSU will be in the thick of things late and MSU will not. I predict 3 conference wins this year for MSU. LOSSES coming by way of UM, NAU, EWU, WSU and SAC

This is a Weber board and you have every right to dis anyone you like but when has MSU been overrated the last 5 years?

2009 picked to finish 3rd and4th.....finished 4th
2008 picked to finish 3rd and 4th....finished 3rd
2007 picked to finish 3rd and 4th......finished 4th
2006 picked to finish 2nd and 3rd... finished 3rd
2005 picked to finish 3rd and 4th....finished 2nd

Like I said smack away, good luck, and I hope we can have another close game this year.

The only reason MSU was even mentioned on this topic was due to fluffykitty's comments. But I would say your defense is better than "moderately decent". Hell, considering your offense, if the defense wasn't any better than "moderately decent", the Bobcats wouldn't win a game. I'm hoping to make it to Bozeman this year, and also hope for a good game. I also hope Weber shows up this year against you guys. Last year's game versus MSU was Weber's worst performance of the year and left me feeling sick. But as always, I will be cheering you on versus UM, and I think you have the best shot of any Sky team to knock off a FBS team when you play Wazzu.

Just a guess but no self-respecting Bobcat fan would name themselves "fluffykitty." Me thinks he is a fan of another team.

I have to agree. I think that "fluffy" is a Grizz fan. Of all the Bobcat fans that have posted here and that I have met, none would use "fluffykitty".

Do our conference foes understand that, yes, Weber loses players every year to Missions, but do they recognize that those players do return? Have any of you looked over the roster to see what Weber is gaining from RM's? Very impressive group coming back for the Cats. Also, there are a number of players who played a lot as FR and SO last year who are going to make an immediate contribution for the CATS. I think Weber is going to be a lot better than some people realize.

For all of us Wildcat Fans, the Football schedule posters and the pocket schedules are also available. GO TO THE ATHLETIC DEPT AND GET SOME!! GIVE THEM TO FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND BUSINESSES YOU FREQUENT!! LETS HELP GET THE WORD OUT!!!!

I've got a bunch in my car. Whenever I go somewhere, gas, food, or store, I take a poster and some schedules with me.

Weber will win the Conference this year.

That's awesome, N.OgdenCat. I love the commitment. But it's pretty sad that the fans have to do the Athletic Department's job.
