Wildcats Sick of Second Place

I actually have no problem with 2nd place finishes. These last 5 seasons have been amazing! Weber has been the best team in the conference most of these years. I have watched and played enough sports to know that all you can ask for is to give yourself a chance every season. You never know whats going to happen when it all come down to one game in the end. Keep contending every year and I know eventually we will get to the big dance!

Really?! You have NO problem with it at all? Sure, I think we are all pleased with the team's success, but any Weber fan has a degree of frustration with the seemingly never-ending Big Sky postseason losses. Randy Rahe will be the first to tell you he's not content with finishing second, as long as WSU is the "best team in the conference." Complacency will never earn us a trip to the big dance. Fortunately, I don't think Weber State Athletics, the players or coaches share your opinion.

It was pretty early this morning when I wrote that. I am officially taking it back! I have spent way to much time in the D to not see this team in the big dance. I am proud of the Wildcats, but anything less than a championship would be a major disappointment!

I can't argue with that, sir. :+1:

Purple blood but fan of Sac :wtf: ?

Personally, I'm pretty sick of 2nd. Last year was the only time I was actually OK with it due to the excitement and success in the CIT (but 2nd again there, too.) I guess if they can't be 1st, 2nd is better than the alternative, though. Weber is due-- here we go Weber   !

The CIT was pretty sweet. I loved playing a bunch of games against "supposed" better competition at home. We saw a handful of solid DI programs visit the Dee, which is unheard of. But, agreed, I'd like to see more Championships. Yet, we can all agree, that Weber is consistently a top Big Sky team, which is the most important place for our program.
