Kats are coming to town. Expect a slugfest. Whether you think the defense or special teams or ball security or kicking or play calling or execution were the problem against Weber; you're probably right. Overall, the Kats stats are quite impressive and just a casual perusal says they have a decided advantage in this contest in defense, TO margin, penalties, FG's, kicking, etc... Despite having the top offense, Eag's have shown some inconsistency and MSU has a defense that can make them pay.
Guess fans will get to see what kind of team this is and if there was actually a chance for them to go "all the way". I believe in the team. Believe they will be the best team when they step on the field Saturday but will have to prove it. Have tried to look at the facts but my impression is there is a coaching deficit. I don't know why. Team leadership can overcome minor issues but close games expose these weaknesses and chance becomes a prevalent element. Like a missed extra point. Eagles can't leave it to chance this week if they want to win a championship.
Eastern gets two TO's this week and defense gets more than enough stops to allow the offense to outscore the Kats if the moment isn't too big for them. Can't afford any 3 and outs. Offense needs to possess the ball enough to find the big play or give the defense a break.
Let's face it, win as a team, lose as a team.
