Women's Basketball...

Wow. In case you weren't aware, the women's basketball team faces a HUGE depth challenge. The women are starting a home stand this week and it continues thru next week. These athletes need your support. I live in Meridian and can't make Thursday's game. But you can join me at Reed Gym on Saturday (check the schedule... I think I heard game time was moved up to 1:05p or so). Let's pack the place!

Go Bengals!

I cannot make it Saturday, I'm at a team-bonding thing at the Reservation. I'll be there on Thursday, count on it.

Why are women's games in the afternoon? It's such a bad idea. We should only do night games, for basketball (men and women) and football. Screw the afternoon tip-off/kick off times.

Now, more than ever, this team needs support. They are going through so much right now. All of you wish you had my energy? Here's my solution: band together and cheer as one. It's not hard. I'm not expecting the incredible enthusiasm that I have, but if you all get together and cheer (and REALLY cheer, stop waiting for something to happen, make noise and then sit-down), you can create your own energy. Thrive off each other and the team will thrive off of you. Trust me, get used to doing it, because starting February 14th, I can't make it to games on Saturday. I will always be on the road with the Rugby team, as we have 8 games this spring with 7 on the road!

Heart, heart, and heart will get us through. No more criticism (like Up For Improvement on the Journal Blogs). None of it is warranted at this point. 8 young women will be depending on you, Pocatello. Do NOT let them down.

Chelsea Pickering will likely miss the rest of the season, leaving the Bengals with just 8 dressed players the rest of the season (Brown, Adams, Iacovita, Diehl, Grohs, Guertin, Peets, Green), and according to the online schedule the game is indeed set for 1:05 p.m. in Reed Gym Saturday against Sac State, though I don't know why.

They are going to really miss Chelsea. She's a solid player... a scrapper. It's got to be an extremely difficult time for her and the rest of the team.

Tough loss tonight. But it was a close and competitive game. The women's basketball team has been one of the bright spots in Bengal athletics for the past several years. Fans, let's not them down. Show your support! Join me at Reed Gym at 1:05p on Saturday as they take on the Hornets from Sac. State.
