women's gymnastics 2011

So, I am going up to Fullerton, Orange County, to see the Hornets at the CSUF Titans soon. Anybody been to Sac State's meets this year? I have seen a little of Kailey Hansen and also Wooff on YouTube. Hansen looks quite good.

Any thoughts on these girls?

We are young and raw, though there is plenty of talent as the freshmen develop. I think in 2 years this team will be a strong Top 25 contender. Bars and beam is giving us fits this year. Too many falls. Plus with Boyce injured for the year, really forced Coach Hughes to juggle the lineup.

Victory over CAL on Saturday...

I went to the meet at CSU+Fullerton. We did great! Won beam, UB, and the meet. Blauvelt was the only all+arounder, so, won that by default. Lipka got second on vault, and youäd think Kailey Hansen won the FX with a 10, she was just so incredibly excited. She is a joy to watch, as was the team in general.

Good amount of gym boosters showed up, too, and I sat with them, and got to meet a few. Great crowd.

Iäm going back up to CSUF to watch UCLA. Donät think Iäll make it to Sac this year, but hopefully next year.
