Sure glad we didn't open the Head Coaching gig up to the public last year to find a real coach with real head coaching experience. The women's team is just plain bad this season. :roll:

We lost half of our scoring output to graduation last year and our best returning player blew out her knee in the first game of the season. And Kuhns leads the nation in rebounding...but you knew that already!

This team is bad and we have played really good competition. If you're going to continue to troll, better back it up with facts!
 
Man, HornetsNest is a major Craighead hater!

She needs at least another year after this one to prove herself. Though, I think she's working on a one-year deal...
 
I'm with SHA and Kadeezy here. While I originally wanted to bring in Gina Johnson from Delta (and would still love to do that), having hired Craighead, it's still too soon to make this judgment call, especially given the state of the program when she was hired. It's hard to ask a coach to make that kind of wholesale changes and get success in such a short period of time.
 
This isn't a personal vendetta against Coach Craighead.

I feel Sac State took the easy route with the Women's job and just handed it over to a very young coach who tries to outscore every opponent and doesn't spend much time teaching defense. That system worked just fine for UNLV and LMU back in the day, but it doesn't pay off in the end.

But hey, we have the top rebounder in the NCAA! :roll:

Did we schedule UCONN without me knowing it? At least Katz and the mens team seem to be competitive into the 2nd half. As I have stated before, Coach Craighead's philosophy of "run & gun" will not work without the horses. At some point the womens team must learn how to play defense because their shooting % isn't cutting it.

Please don't eliminate me like that last guy. :cry:

So long as you aren't name calling I think you are fine. I have been one of the biggest critic's for various programs and would have been kicked off long ago if that were a reason for expulsion.

I don't follow women's hoops but it doesn't look pretty. At least Wanless didn't lock Craighead into a 5 year extension.

The 5 year extension is a good thing! It will give us 4 1/2 more years to complain.
 
Yes, Coach Craighead is a joke. She only got the job because we have a weak AD.

If the AD was so confident in Coach Craighead, he would have given her a 4-5 year contract. All she got was a three year contract.

Coach Craighead's coaching staff is among the worst in the country. John Settles couldn't coach a little kid to walk across the street. Michelle Augustavo & Jordan Willard are more worried about becoming the next Kardashian, than becoming good coaches.

I look forward to the day when this horrible coach is gone.
 
What do you mean, blame it on the facility? We have a brand new 10,000 seat on campus arena. The students paid for it.

Wait, wait. That's right the students got the bait and switch from our great president.

I don’t follow women’s hoops (at any level) but there seems to be plenty of reasons to be upset with the current performance of the women’s program and its leadership. I wouldn’t call the obvious frustration displayed by JHR’s venting as “trolling” quite yet. :twocents:

You are preaching to the choir my friend. I have had my reservations all along and have the "troll" tag place on me too. The Kardashian comment kills me! Most of their budget must be going to the assistants game outfits. I have also heard rumors of who will be coming into the program next year and it isn't very impressive. Some local names but nothing to write home to mom about. :ohno:
