How does this work? We can't even get enough to buy a damn scoreboard and the WSU losers get 80 mil.?
Ain't right, just ain't RIGHT!!

According to Wikipedia:
WSU attendance- 27008
EWU attendance- 10750
Eastern attendance = 39.8% of WSU so... if our trustees placed equal value on athletics that WSU's board does we would be able to build a $31,840,000. facility.

Aren't Eastern students as entitled/worthy as WSU students? Why aren't any of the points Moos makes to justify the facility in Pullman applicable to Cheney?

Also, WSU's facility is helped by the Pac-12 revenue sharing deal as well as more than a few big boosters with deep pockets, two things that EWU isn't able to utilize. I still like the idea of selling naming rights to the stadium. Keep it Roos Field, but <some corp who wants to pay> stadium has a nice sound to it, especially if it comes with a new video board and/or seating options.

To clarify, it is WSU paying for their own stadium... not using state dollars. Eastern has the same option; EWU regents could just as easily approve a $10m expansion in Cheney.

I still insist Eastern has the money, it's just spent differently. No intercollegiate hockey, but we have a $22m hockey arena? That makes about as much sense as paying for ice in Siberia.

The students actually voted for the hockey arena as part of the rec center, if you can believe that. I couldn't when it passed. The Rec is a great addition to the university, but I think the ice arena was pretty short sighted.

EWU has the indoor track over by the practice fields, no need for a fxckin ice rink. put that money in the fb stadum.
