WTF: CAL POLY in the WAC

There are rumours swirlling around about Cal Poly and UC Davis being courted by the WAC. Thats nothing more than a load of shiz! Cal Poly isn't respected as a mid-major in either football or basketball. They have had two decent football seasons in a row and aren't really that great in basketball, and now they merit a promotion? Last time I checked San Luis Obespo wasn't very big, nor very accessible. Cal Poly would be a horrible addition to the WAC. Don't get me started with UM, LOL! Grizz fans have bronco envy, they really truly think they will be the next Boise State, more like the next New Mexico State or Wyoming, more appropriately.

Hey man Cal Poly is a shoe in for the WAC, they have had a few games this year at home with 10,000 fans. That is just like USU, NMSU, and Idaho, actually its higher attendance than some of em.

I think our attendance thus far is good enough for the WAC. I think if MAC was younger we'd have a legit shot at the WAC. I dare anyone to disagree. Look what he did at Utah, Utah was a joke before they hired Mac.

Don't they (cal poly) play basketball in an old LDS Stake Center? I really think that PSU has a better basketball facility than Cal Poly. Don't get me wrong, I do think that Cal Poly and UC Davis would both be great additions to the Sky, but not the WAC. We all know why Weber wont be able to get into the WAC Utah State would never allow it, doosh bags!

Why in the world would Weber EVER want to be in the WAC??? It really does nothing for Weber, except take a step backward. In the WAC, we would have no chance of ever winning a national title in football. In the Sky, we have the opportunity, and from the looks of it, a possibility in the next couple of years.

The only good thing about the WAC is the competition... Granted, the Sky is probably just as good in a lot of respects, but the community want to see glamorous schools at the Dee and Stadium. It would improve the fan base, and most importantly, create a stronger rivalry with USU. But, with that being said, I'd rather be FCS than FBS... Something about a Playoff, and the legitimacy of a National Champion from such a system, and most importantly, Webers ability to get to that standard soon.
With regard to Cal Poly and UC Davis... neither will get into the WAC before Big Sky schools. However, both should be in the Sky, along with SUU....

Good point, USU is 1-7 and their season low attendance is 10,000. I would assume if they were still in the Sun Belt or Big West 10,000 would be the season high minus BYU/Utah games. Mac's first yr at WSU we had a higher attendance ave than USU and we were a .500 team.

Give me a break! The season low attendance is 10,000 - I am officially calling Bull Sh#@. There is no way that 10,000 butts were in the seats in the USU v Idaho football game this season. You could not have paid me to go and see that DOG of a game!! The 10,000 is a VERY convenient # to come up with especially when to remain at the D1 level you have to average at least 10,000 per game.
