I've heard that USD has accepted an invite to the MVCF and will stay int he Summit for everything else. Also, I read that UND reneged on their deal with the Sky and is headed into the same situation.

Geographically it makes sense.

I haven’t heard about UND changing its mind, but I sure hope they do. They would only leave if they were offered a similar MVFC and Summit invite. UND recently cancelled a school visit by the Summit so I doubt they were ever offered a Summit and MVFC invite. UND in the BSC without a travel partner is bad on pretty much every schools travel budget.

What are the WSU fans feelings towards this expansion? I have no problem with SUU as they are already in the geographic footprint and will could serve as a travel partner for NAU, but I think the UXD’s will do nothing other than add travel and split existing revenue payouts from the BSC and NCAA tournament. Thoughts?

And congrats on the huge win over UM. I watched some of it and Tafuna (sp?) was a complete beast.

There is NO indication of UND backing out of the Big Sky. Give us your source - if you have one. :lol:
 
I haven't been able to find any substantiation that North Dakota is going to change its mind....but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Especially if they can get into the Mo Valley, like S. Dakota did. In any event, Wil Holden from the Bozeman paper is off to see if there is any truth to the North Dakota rumor. Stay tuned, I have a feeling all of this is going to get real interesting before it settles down...

With UND and USD out of the picture that is 12 teams. This is a good number. Obviously proven by the FBS conferences. SUU will be a great match. Weber needed an in State rival to boost attendance and USU obviously does not want to participate in something like this. I am excited about SUU coming to the BSC! I agree with the Dakotas just adding unnecessary travel and cutting into any future revenue sharing.
 
UND is not OUT!! There has been no announcement to that fact and what you have read on this thread is just conjecture. In fact in the article, Fullerton says nothing about UND NOT coming to the Big Sky. :oops:
 
Can the Big (too Big) Sky rescind some offers... or better yet make everyone forget we just got turned down by USD and that UND wants out?

Isn't this the exact reason why the WAC hasn't invited UM, because they don't want to look like a horse's behind if they get turned down. Way to go Fullerton. :roll:
 
Why would you believe anything Foolerton says or doesn't at this point, Mr. Burns. Why would UND want BSC anymore, why would we want them anymore. What a Cluster
 
If UND leaves that ok for me, I wouldnt have minded if they stay, but I think its better for the Sky if they dont, we will still get the 12 football memebers and 10 basketball members so it will still be even.....until Montana leaves

Okay, the UND bit was from another forum, which, as we all know, is usually fans opinions. But the USD, as we all know by now, is definitely a done deal. Sorry for the misdirection everyone.

However, seriously, do we really want UND now that USD isnt' going to come along?
