The ISU men will be hosting Weber State Saturday night in Reed Gym and I hope you all come out and support the Bengals. As you know, ISU was picked to finish last in the conference by both preseason polls, and there was some speculation on the Weber board that ISU might be the worst team in Big Sky history. Well, the Bengals aren't quite ready to contend for the conference, but I dare say they are both better and more entertaining than in recent years. I have a good feeling about Saturday's game -- the Bengals usually play the Wildcats tough here, and have pulled a few upsets in recent years.

The empty seats in Holt this year really sadden me. I think we are trending towards the smallest basketball crowds since Holt was built. I understand the lack of success over the years has taken its toll on the support. I hope fans will get excited this weekend to see an improving ISU team with emerging stars like ET and Geno taking on one of the two best teams in the league. Come join us in Reed this weekend, I really think you will enjoy it.

I would like to add that when we played Weber at Weber to open Big Sky play this year, we got beat by 21 points. BUT, (a BIG butt)... after the halftime adjustments made by Coach Evans, the second half score was only a 5 point difference! Weber has a player who will be drafted in the early rounds of the NBA draft. Come watch Ethan Telfair drive and shoot over him. Ethan Telfair is SO FAST, that weber will get in foul trouble trying to grab at him to stop him. And we are due for a good 3 point shooting night.
It's really going to be a fun night!
