Some of you may remember me, have put 2 and 2 together or are swearing that im back again. But for those of you that Don't Know me.

My Name is Chris, I am an Idaho Alum and help run www.TubsatTheClub.com a Vandal-Centric Website. We also have a Podcast and social media by the same name.

I wanted to welcome you all to the Kibbie Dome and extend an Olive branch of sorts and discuss any questions you may have about the team, invite you to our tailgate, share some of our publications or just great places to eat, drink and be marry in Moscow!

All of this in a civil matter until approx 12:01 9/21. At that point, screw all yall Go Vandals! Until Then FTG!

Your rivals writeup was good Chris. I think the Eagles/Vandals matchups in the future will increase the rivalry status. One thing I noticed last year was the low number of Vandals fans at the Inferno. I expected many more Vandals fans. Is the UofI fanbase apathetic these days?

UPDATE:
After asking you the above question, I visited the Vandal football forum. Seemed like a bunch of puppies that lost their bones. Montana is desperate to be relevant. However, the Vandals on that forum are just lost.

Yes AllVandals.com is the old guard that is used to complaining for 20+ years. even in 98,09,16 (bowl seasons) they still complained.

As for attendance, we did sell out our away allotment and more bleachers were brought in last year. Its was EWU's Homecoming, so i think some tickets were to expensive for fans to watch an obvious ass whoopin.

Eastern v. Idaho is a much better rivalry than EWU v. Portland State. EWU sits so far inland from the Pacific Ocean that it takes away the distance factor that creates rivals, combine that with PSU’s lack of a real fanbase & gameday experience, there’s really nothing there for a rivalry to feed on. Throw in a trophy for the winning team to take home and that Eastern vs. Idaho rivalry sounds cool!

Idaho is a much better rival than Portland State. That always felt like a totally contrived rivalry.

The Big Sky has deemed Eastern and Idaho are rivals, so thus it is. It makes sense considering the close geography we share. I think it'll take a couple of years to build it up, but it's best for both programs in the long run if fans buy in to the rivalry concept.

But I agree with the OP, I still think of the Griz as a more "pure" rival.

Idaho is a natural rival while PSU is an afterthought. The sooner both fan bases accept it and fans like TatC Chris put that Dark Era of FBS disaster behind them it'll be fun. In FCS it can happen quick allthough don't think Petrino is the one to do it. I use to enjoy Idaho Football before EWU went D1 in '84, had a brother-in-law play in 70's then Friese and crew put an exciting brand of football on the field. Now let's take care of buisness Sat. so I can watch Petrino pop a temple blood vessel.

We have yet to play a meaningful game since Idaho has came back to the big sky. Last year Idaho wasn’t ready to beat the Eagles, and this year is a non conference game. We will truly regain the rivalry when the game has some serious conference implications

I’ve spent a lot of Saturday’s there, but I’m looking forward to paying my first visit to the Kibie Dome for a football game. Let’s hear a handful of recommendations for a pre game beer, meal, and where to park.
