Re: Western Illinois

It is almost like looking in a mirror. Looking at the stats, the Leathernecks look very similar to Weber State. However, what type of offense or defense they run is a complete mystery to me. What is evident is how effective they are at what they do. Like the Cats, they show up and play their game. ...

Re: Western Illinois

Hey everyone, quick question if i wanted to fly into town for this game what is the best airport to use and whats the best airlines in the area? I'd be coming from DC and am having trouble finding flights that aren't $750 each way. It may because of the holiday weekend or I am not looking at the ri...

Re: FCS FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS

Hey ya'll! Not here to trash talk! Just here for some good natured football talk! I saw someone ask if WIU thought Ogden was beneath the MVFC. I went to High School with Brett Taylor, the All-American Linebacker, and asked him why they didn't seem excited. He just said that they were hoping for a r...

Re: The Islands of the Bahamas Showcase

I think the seeming weaknesses are very teachable if the players are willing to work. It seems better rebounding and more sound defense would elevate this team. The offense is looking more capable than I was expecting even though there is more needed from the bench. They need to give themselves more...

Re: FCS FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS

If W Illinois were to win, their first two playoff games would be in Utah and would have played three BSC teams this year. Some drive mile distances: 1266 miles from WIllinois to WSU; 1470 miles from WIllinois to SUU; 780 miles from U San Diego to WSU; 487 miles from U San Diego to NAU. Anyone know ...

SUU 4th
Weber 7th
W Illinois 9th

NAU 22nd
San Diego 40th

Re: vs Idaho State 11/18 (BSC Champs!)

For the love of god stop running QB power. We have a playoff game next week and Iwould like our starting QB to play in it. I keep wondering if Hill is going to have a rabbit to pull out of the hat next season without Cantwell? Weber has really depended on him all season-- as Cantwell goes, the Wild...

Re: 2017 FCS Playoff Projection 10/29

MSU over UM doesn't surprise me at all, I thought the Bobs were the better team all season. I just realized or remembered that the Thunderturds didn't play either of the Montanas this year. Speaking of SUU, it looks like they are starting to take charge over NAU as I suspected they would. NAU can't ...

Re: Bahamas Showcase field

Hmm...down 15 with 3 mins to go and Braxton/Kozak/(Chapman-- doesn't really play big) 12 pts 20 rebs, Iona's Edogi/Griffin 22 pts 20 rebs. Iona with 5 players in double-digits, Harding & Richardson with 29 & 27 but Weber with nearly 20 TOs. Based on the USU game I worried defensively and it sounds l...

Re: Bahamas Showcase field

Not watching, listening to the radio broadcast. It sure sounds like a lot of Iona layups. Weber turning the ball over too much and it sounds like Iona's strength (3pt shooting) isn't there. Rather, they are beating Weber's strength (post play). At least, that's what it sounds like,

Vermont beats Bradley 65-64 in game one.
Vermont picked to win tournament championship over Iona, Bradley picked 8th. I hope this first game match-up and result bodes well for Weber, picked 5th.

Re: Match Ups from around the Big Sky

NAU @ ASU -- Agree, this one will probably get ugly at the tip. I would say if it ends up under 30 it will be a NAU success. WSU vs Iona -- Not sure how I feel about Weber's chances. They haven't played away from the DEE yet and haven't faced what I believe to be a good team either. Weber continues ...

Well, Tennessee St. played #2 Jacksonville St. well up until a few minutes before halftime, then it was all #2 from then on. SE Louisiana came back in the 3rd quarter to upset #26 Nicholls.

Re: 2017 FCS Playoff Projection 10/29

SUU will not have any troubles with motivation themselves. They are hungry for a BSC title, potential seed or home game, and are probably pissed off that after accomplishing their year-long mission of exacting revenge on Weber, they may still have to share a BSC title with them and may get the short...

Re: 2017 FCS Playoff Projection 10/29

Any guesses as to why Weber (8-2/6-1) has led and continues to lead SUU (8-2/6-1) in both polls? I haven't understood that for much of the season. It's not tough to see that SUU is legit and questionable call or not, the Thunderturds beat the Wildkitties decisively H2H, in Ogden no less. I think an ...
