Re: Montana, Montana State opt out of FCS spring championship

Montana and Montana State have officially opted out of the FCS spring championship season. Bobcats, Griz say in press release they will attempt "modified spring schedule." More here: https://skylinesportsmt.com/bobcats-griz-opt-out-of-spring-fcs-season/ https://twitter.com/SkylineSportsMT...

Re: PSU2

Portland State might not be the best shooting team, but what makes them tough is their ability to grab offensive rebounds. They are a hustle team. Weber, was killed on the boards yesterday, 43-29. Out of the 43 boards, 16 were offensive and the Vikings ended up scoring 18 second chance points. Somet...

Re: WSU to the WAC?

Depends on what we see ourselves as being? Meaning are we a football or basketball school? Even if we see ourselves as a basketball school, and can agree that the WAC is a stronger basketball conference than the Sky? Will it always be better and if so, is it so much better that it would make a move...

Re: Arizona Coach Fired

I have a feeling that Arizona is giving Coach Hill a long look. Fortunately for us, the bias against FCS will keep him here another year. Also they might be able to convince a "big named" coordinator to take their open HC job. However, I will not be angry with Coach if he were to leave We...

Re: Andersen gone at USU

Wow...just wow!! I have absolutely no angst against USU. After the Cats, I always like seeing them succeed and do well. BUT this just shocks me. It takes a lot for players to boycott a game. Truly it is the only form of power they have to get someone to notice the issues. I don't see where Hartwell ...

Looks like Jay was #3 and that USU is going to hire Arkansas State's HC.

Re: Andersen gone at USU

I don’t think Coach Hill will leave for the open position at USU. the timing is not right, leaving right now would be like leaving after spring ball any other season. There is no way new coaching staff could be in place before our season started. USU is not going to fill it’s open position until af...

Re: Westminister

Bassett had a knee surgery about a month ago and is sitting until he is cleared to play again. Kupsas is still working on getting back to full strength. I always laugh when peeps say an ACL is a 6 month injury. Yes, for some sports it might be, but for most athletes, especially basketball it is at l...

Re: SUU is looking to join the WAC

I don't see how the WAC is an improvement for SUU. Does it really save money? I think they know they can't compete in the Sky and want something easier. Oh well. I wish them luck. It helps get the Sky back to a normal size, but a total bummer losing a rival. We'd get stuck with NAU. I do not and wil...

Re: 2021 Season: Get Some Experience & Treat It As A Redshirt Yr?

CHEX, if I could, I would award you the "post of the year." AMEN!! I too love sports, but it is absolutely ridiculous that we are trying to play a season in the middle of a pandemic. No matter, decisions have been made and games are being played. We will see our second Wildcat game of the ...

Re: Andersen gone at USU

After the Morgan Scalley SNAFU last year, Jay should be the top guy in line after Whitt decides to leave at the U. Scalley will still stay, and they would get Jay. Win/win for Utah. Continuing to win and build a beast of a program here in Ogden, will only solidify his future spot as the HC in Salt L...

Re: Spring Championships

The biggest question from this decision is when will Fall 2021 start? Is it going to be on the same timeline? It is really hard, especially for those teams that will go far into the playoffs to turn around and play in August. That would only give the team a month and a half to recover before they ge...

Absolutely frustrating. No other way to say it. Fuller is the type of guy you want on your team. He's the epitome of commitment, hard work, and leadership.

Re: Offseason 2020 (weirdest year)

I was just hoping the guys were on campus, able to start workouts, and someone may have seen them. That's all. Could have worded that better. From what I have heard athletes can participate in voluntary workouts. If you keep your eyes pealed you might see a basketball player. However, most players ...

Offseason 2020 (weirdest year)

Well, 2020 has been absolutely weird and that includes the transformation of Weber State Basketball. After Coach Rahes worst year leading the program and arguably, the third year in a row the program has slid a bit, Rahe decided to pull a 2007 and recreate the entire roster (he needed to get a coupl...

Re: Rahe's Legacy

Athletics at Weber is mostly funded with student fees and playing guarantees. The amount of money the department makes off of boosters, supporters, donations, and ticket sales are the smallest portion of our budget (shouldn't be the case, but it is). That's what happens when you only depend on selli...

Re: 2020 Roster

The injury to Downs was nasty. For a big guy that’s hard to come back from. And right when he was getting his mojo back he gets hurt again. I’ll be sad not to see him on the field but sometimes it’s just better to move on and heal up.
