Re: Week 1 Grade
I’m probably an easier grader. Offense: A- over 600 yards of offense. Barron threw over 300 yards with 4 TDs 0 interceptions. Rushing game broke some long runs as game went on. Couple of fumbles and a very slow start, but great overall. Kudos to Hammer for exposing mismatches in the secondary. There...

Re: #2 Weber State @ Pocatello State 2/27/21
Well offense was by no means perfect with a slow start, and they still put up 49 points. Defense had the one missed tackle on the long TD, but did well. Barron looked good and had nice poise for a freshman. It will be interesting to see how Idaho State does next week, but I think their QB will do w...

Re: Last Conf roady to Sac
Winning two close contested games on the road are good confidence builders. Good job on getting a sweep.

Re: Last Conf roady to Sac
The three-point shots were off, but Weber State played well down the stretch and pulled away in closing minutes. It’s always a tough game in Sacramento. I expect more of the same Saturday.

Re: Spring 2021 Big Sky Weekly Picks
I think the Wildcats come close, but don’t cover. I think they win by 17. I take under on the points. I like NAU to cover and be over on points. I think EWU wins and covers, and I think they go under on points. As I put this comment in, the line dropped to Weber State -17 according to the ESPN app.

Re: #2 Weber State @ Pocatello State 2/27/21
With the basketball game at Idaho State canceled today, is the football game for sure on in a week? ESPN app is also showing Cal Poly at UC Davis game postponed. I know two bye weeks were built in for this reason, but I’m still getting nervous. Basketball games canceled due to covid issues within t...

Solid game on the boards and moving the ball around. Now they need to take the momentum on the road. On to Sacramento State...hopefully.

Re: #2 Weber State @ Pocatello State 2/27/21
Here it is, down to the final two. Looks like it's down to Barron and Johnson . https://www.standard.net/sports/weber-state/weber-state-football-quarterback-race-down-to-top-2-fall-2021-schedule-released/article_b732a2fd-0ff6-56e0-94a8-551b85e5ea2d.html Barron must be having some good practices to ...

Re: NAU in town..., Hopefully
NAU was obviously at a huge disadvantage coming into this game. Weber State shot well and wore down NAU as the game moved on. I think NAU will have a better showing Saturday, but I still expect a 10 plus point win given NAU’s recent game time and young players. Brown had a great game, and Carlson’s ...

Re: Road Trip to UM
They got the split. The Wildcats shot really well. Looking at the schedule, I think SUU has the easiest path to the top seed, but the tournament is up for grabs anyway. Gotta try and win out and hope some teams stumble. I think a win in Missoula is a confidence builder going forward.

Re: Road Trip to UM
Well, three-point shooting wasn’t on tonight and defense let a struggling offense light them up. I didn’t think they would win both games. They need to brush themselves off and get a split if they want to remain in contention of regular season title. It’s still wide open for 4-5 teams if the Tournam...

Re: #2 Weber State @ Pocatello State 2/27/21
I think the Big Sky is a tough game week in and week out. First games are always a bit tricky, too. I will have to see the offense to gain any confidence of a blowout win. I think Weber State wins by like 14-17 points, but those games can sometimes still feel too close until a late score puts it away.

Re: Less than 3 Weeks
We have a lot of new players on offense and also a new coordinator--another unknown. How will we be on offensive play calling? A step forward, backward or about the same? What differences do you expect to see? I think with Hill, you can count on the defense being good. Last year’s offense could not...

Re: Montana State this week
Two wins where the Wildcats pulled away from a close game in the final minutes...very encouraging.
Two games at Missoula loom large next week. It’s a logjam at the top, but I think the Wildcats are the hottest team right now.

Re: Montana State this week
I think there was kind of a curse after Lillard because for a while, it became the let’s anoint one player to build the game plan around like with Senglin and Harding. This year’s team has a team feel, and they play as a team...so much more enjoyable to watch. I echo the sentiments of giving Rahe c...
