Re: Another transfer

So Fuller was a bright spot on defense and rebounding...and he is sent packing? Why some big players or defenders aren’t recruited is puzzling. Hill has built a great football program off of defense. Since Beckner left the basketball program, Wildcat defenders don’t even consistently put their hands...

Re: Jake Constantine

Constantine im sure is a great kid. But he is one of those guys who looks great on paper, team captain, 2 time big sky champion and deep playoff runs. But he was never that impressive to me as a qb. Maybe I am missing something but without that steller D and a good running attack, Jake would have b...

Re: Rahe's Legacy

Randy is a good coach. He is the winningest coach in Wildcat History. Has a 8 20+ win seasons is it rude to say the 8 are really 4 if you don't count D2 and NAIA's? Not sure how it would be considered "rude" to state reality. The crap home schedule is one of the main sore spots regarding the "winni...

Re: All Time Favorite Wildcats

Martin was simply amazing. I really liked Cantwell, too. To be a one-year starting Senior and play so well was impressive. He was a fiery competitor. The last few years defensive teams have been favorites. The Western Illinois playoff game and the EWU home game were just flat out domination games.

Re: What is Weber State Basketball?

I just think it’s funny how Coach Rahe has to validate his reasoning for recruiting so many transfers by saying it’s what everyone is doing. Well then why didn’t you do it as much before? I also don’t think he could be further from the truth because a lot of schools still recruit high school kids. ...

Re: What is Weber State Basketball?

Weber State Basketball is a pay check to RR. I think he is just throwing spaghetti at the wall to see if it will stick this year with the grad transfers. Wonder how these new players will like the weave offense. Hopefully they can rebound and defend...but who cares about that these days, just gotta ...

Re: 2020-21 WSU Wildcats

All the transfers coming in will be different. The big questions are will they play like a team? Will the coaches use the depth and rotation? Will the lame offense be changed? It’s a lot of questions and with the same assistants, I doubt things magically fall into place and head coach. I still worry...

Re: 2020-21 WSU Wildcats

Hi all, Anyone who posts on this site and is a Weber State fan is a winner in my book...even with varying opinions. I love the passion! Don’t get too caught up into stats because as Homer Simpson said, “You can make up stats to prove anything, 80% of people know that.” I try to be respectful and don...

Re: reduce seating

For the near future, space with indoor facilities will be a plus. Packed tiny arenas are going to scare a lot of people off. Weber State could always go back to Swenson Gym if they want a crowded environment, or they could win and draw more fans in to the Purple Palace. Even with reduced interest, i...

Re: 2020 Offers and Commitments

After this recruiting class, I am feeling a lot better about the depth of our O line. With everything else we have, we should be even better than last year. I'm optimistic. I’m getting excited about football as well. Adding depth to the line is great. A lot hinges on QB spot, Big Sky play demands a...

Re: 2020-21 WSU Wildcats

Maybe these senior transfers will bring some much needed hunger and sense of urgency to the team. I hope they don’t think they can show up and expect to take a lot of shots and put up low effort on defense. Even if they are hungry and have a team concept, can the coaches develop them and game plan t...

Re: Next Year!!!!

There was a compilation of basketball stories a few days ago in the Standard-Examiner Hein wrote. I couldn’t even get through them all. Same recycled excuses. It’s really sad Weber State is the only team that has to battle injuries every year. Rahe also saying he won’t coach until he’s 80 so he gets...

Never had the privilege of meeting him either, but from reading about him I’m extremely impressed. To battle cancer for 8 years while continuing to be such a positive force speaks volumes! I am sure he is at peace and pain free. He will be greatly missed by family and friends to be sure.

You might be right Chex! This virus deal is getting crazy. We might be done with sports for a long long time. On another front! I find it quite interesting that they cancel everything. Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, and gatherings over 100. No college classes being held, so to the interesting part! ...

That's the funniest thing I've read in a while.

Re: Big Sky Tourney

I agree with Big T. Can't really blame Harding for shooting to much when the other guys on the team can't make a basket. I would love to see what Harding could do with more talent around him. I seem to remember his Freshman year and he made some sweet passes. We had Senglin, Richardson, Baker and H...
