Re: Utah Valley

I don't have the advantage of watching Morris outside of what I've seen of him. Perhaps he's a baller and maybe it's the coaches fault that I haven't seen it. But I haven't ... I also have different memories of Bolomboy as a freshman and sophomore. What I remember is a kid you could trap on the bloc...

Re: Utah Valley

 One thing I want to make sure you know MPWildcat is that I'm thrilled you are here. I would love to see the board grow ... as I would love that more discussion is about the team and what people see and think about the players and what is going. A lot a discussion on Rahe lately and with that...

Re: Utah Valley

Dima does not have ankle issues. Dima is not a D1 player. He will struggle against the D1 teams we have to play this year. Rahe needs to quit claiming or thinking that Dima will help the program. Start going deeper in the bench like with Morris and you might be surprised that he may be far better t...

Re: Truths about Randy Rahe in 2019

Like his mentor, one Stew Morrill, he has accomplished a lot and has maintained the programs luster. This, more than anything, is what I worry about. I was not a Stew fan. In Logan, he softened his schedule, rarely made a pre-season appearance outside of Cache County, played in a so-so conference, ...

Re: Looking Ahead

I really enjoy this forum, so have at it folks. Me? I'm going to take a deep breath and see how we look with my own eyes on Thursday. We have a couple of pieces that are missing, and there are a couple of guys I think will develop as the season progresses (I really like Zdor). But we'll see if in th...

Re: #17 Utah State

Where is Nero? Transferring out https://twitter.com/WeberHQ/status/1190294070154813441?s=19 I didn't know and was really excited to see him continue to grow as a player. Obviously this is a late transfer decision as he is mid-semester and basically loses this year. Anybody with a backstory to this,...

Re: Looking Ahead

I have attended a handful of practices and pick up games. Diakite has recovered from his ACL surgery, but required an additional scope to clean out some scar tissue. He will be full speed by November's games. Zdor, Kozak, Fuller, and Kupsas all look improved and a lot more confident. Zdor put on ab...

Re: Looking Ahead

I was very surprised to see us at the top of the picks. I know we will have a good back court and I'm expecting big things from Harding, but our front court is so young and untested. And after the really sporadic play from a seasoned front court last year, I'm having a hard time thinking Kozak, Kups...

Re: Schedule: 2019-2020 Version

Sac and Bengal, thanks for those replies. I'm pretty old-fashioned I guess, but I still believe that students on athletic scholarships get a great deal. And it's a deal they need to take full advantage of. But I also believe the universities have to be sensitive to the fact their athletes are studen...

Re: Schedule: 2019-2020 Version

These are student-athletes after all. School is extremely important. That phrase keeps me a huge fan of Weber State as a university in a era where I become less and less interested in college sports where cheating is rampant as tutors take tests for players who are better at their sport and video-g...

Re: Notable Transfers in the Conference (In and Out)

Utah's Nasheem Gaskin is transferring after a RS year. That's 6 Utes who have left from last year's team.

Utah has been a carousel of transferring players during the Coach Koward era.

Re: Looking Ahead

Good article, thanks for sharing.

Obviously playing with the kind of competition Harding saw gave him some indication of what needs to be done. He says all the right things. Now we need to see those things happen.

Tal, your ABC's were spot on!

Re: Looking Ahead

Harding is returning for his senior year. This is not a huge surprise, but welcome news for us Weber fans. He will be a strong candidate for BSC MVP. I'd be curious to know what his advisors told him about his draft potential. I think he needs to gain strength and really lengthen his 3-pt distance ...

Re: Doc Nelson - Transfer Portal

I like Doc and wish him the best. I liked Doc as well. I thought we ran better as a team with him in the lineup. He is one of the few guards who saw the whole court really well. Trying to figure out what is going on for next year??? I'm sure his injury this season was costly to him. I wish him the ...

Re: Dave Rose stepping down

I have said this countless times. We are screwed. We are lagging behind in nearly all aspects of mens sports. Thank heaven for Hill, as FB might be our saving grace one day. For the zillionth time. In the past 15 years: *their conference end of season rpi ranking included* UofU: WAC>MWC>PAC-12 (con...

Re: Dave Rose stepping down

Oldrunner, are you coming out of avoiding this board retirement? Can't say I mind as you instantly stir up some debate and posts. Even the one note drum-beat ones. Here's what is so odd. Rose just gets signed to a pretty good extension and then looks like he makes a personal decision to call it quit...
