Re: #SelloutStewart

Has anyone seen any promo for this game? Any news releases, TV, radio, signs, etc? We need more than FB and twitter to drive the crowd. JH said postgame, "if we can't get this place soldout next week, well then...." he didnt finish his sentence, but one can imagine. 1280 talked about the lack of su...

Re: Coaching Changes

Yesterday's attendance was pathetic. This community doesn't deserve Jay Hill. This... Tim was just given the reigns over athletics completely and I am excited for him and feel he’ll do a good job, but now is the time to work. He needs to figure out how to get people to the game this week or we migh...

Re: Kennesaw St @Weber

Big second half by the defense. Only complaint I have is why offense goes ultra conservative when a crushing blow can be dealt. :agree: Not really that conservative IMO. Problem was Constantine not making the throws. He makes the throw to Macpherson and it's a TD. Then the INT (although there was c...

Re: Utah Valley

Dima does not have ankle issues. Dima is not a D1 player. He will struggle against the D1 teams we have to play this year. Rahe needs to quit claiming or thinking that Dima will help the program. Start going deeper in the bench like with Morris and you might be surprised that he may be far better t...

Well, another dog that probably shouldn't be on the schedule. The outcome should never be in question. However, they do appear to be a bit better than the last one. Sac State beat them 88 - 60, that is somewhat respectful. Trying to find a bright side of this, it is a chance for us to work on our st...

Re: Utah Valley

With Harding not quite a 100% yet, he is playing himself back into shape, He is going to have some great games this year. I can't wait to see what is next. I agree with Talhad, we need to get more out of our big men. We knew that it would be a process this year. They are all so young. Fuller has bee...

Re: Kennesaw St @Weber

Does anybody know when they arrived and practiced? It's typical for teams to fly in the day before the game and have a walk-through that evening. I was just wondering what they will be seeing and experiencing as they arrive and make the short trip to Ogden. I drove on 89 from SLC to Ogden this even...

Re: Kennesaw St @Weber

IMO, a defense, to be successful against a good option team, needs to attack it before it gets set up. You need to be in their back field forcing them to do things before they normally do. You can not sit back and let them come at you. If you are doing it right, it means that your DBs are almost alw...

Re: Kennesaw St @Weber

Here is the thing I can't shake. This team has been putting up these rushing numbers against teams that know full well that they will do nothing but run, run, run. I know that we have one of the better run defenses in the country, but we really don't have much to compare them to. Sure, Poly runs a s...

PLAYOFF 2ND ROUND Sat, Dec 7 Kennesaw St @ Weber St (-10) SE Louisiana @ Montana (-11) Albany @ Montana St (-9.5) Austin Peay @ Sacramento St (-13) I would love to see all of our BSC teams advance. All at home, so that has a good chance of happening. However, at this point in the year, anything can...

Re: Kennesaw St @Weber

Utah plays Friday night so we’re the only show in town on Saturday right? Hoping for a good turnout! I'm hoping for a big crowd as well. the weather may not cooperate. The forecast is for temps in the low 40s or high 30s, with a 50/50 chance of rain/snow. Not too bad. Just need to dress for it and ...

Re: Coaching Changes

We won't be able to keep Coach Hill for ever. That's a fact. However, I'm hopeful that we can keep him for the next few years. My feelings are that it would take a P5 program's money and allure to get him away from us. We have shown a strong commitment to him and our program. :coffee:

Re: Coaching Changes

Cal Poly HC Walsh retires. Will that be the end of the triple option there? I would think that it would be the end of it. However, it may well be that is the sort of athlete they get for FB with their high academic standards and for that community. Academically, they are trying to compete with Stan...

Re: Path to Frisco

Wofford and Kennesaw both run option offenses. That's good for Weber. #2 and #1 rushing offenses in the country and Kennesaw #7 (2 better the Weber) in run defense, although I'm not sure how they're SOS compares. That's what makes all of this so much fun. It's hard to draw strait up comparisons. Th...

Re: Path to Frisco

#3 Weber will host either Wofford or Kennesaw State. We have a great path to Frisco if we can play our absolute best. What stands out to me is the chance to HOST Montana for that second home game. If the weather is good, it could be our first sellout! I too, like our path. It has a little bit of ev...

Re: Idaho State @ Weber State

Even if some of our injured starters are cleared to play, I don't expect to see a lot of participation from them. We will want to play well, but there is certainly no need to risk further injury. I would really like to see some of our promising freshmen get some time in this game. They can play in u...
