2017-2018 Recruiting Class

Post by GreenArmySwarm » Mon Nov 13, 2017 11:47 am

Looks like the 17-18 recruiting class is off to a strong start. Coach Katz and staff picked up an ESPN 3-star California top-50 (32nd overall) recruit in ELIJAH McCULLOUGH! I haven't been able to find a lot of videos on him but from the few Twitter posts, it seems like he has an amazing 3-point shot. Hopefully that translate into D1 college basketball. In addition, I'm really hoping the McCullough continues the trend of successful ESPN ranked recruits that have landed at Sac State (Dylan Garrity, Nick Hornsby and Marcus Graves). I know that these rankings don't mean much (Mikh McKinney) but showing talent at an early stage means something.

*On a side note, other teams in the Big Sky are picking up a lot of steam when it comes to recruiting. Weber, Montana and Idaho used to be the only schools that were able to pull guys away from MWC and WCC schools but Southern Utah and NAU are quickly closing the gap. Speaking of SUU, they easily won this year recruiting in the Big Sky with Dwayne Morgan, a former UNLV key contributer and ESPN 5 star recruit alone. Not to mention Harrison Butler who will most likely be the favorite to win Freshman of the year. Watch the for the T-Birds, they might take the reign as Big Sky's cream of the crop sooner rather than later.
