• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Great to see the Hornets beat UC Davis last night in 5 in Davis. Down 8-2 in the deciding game Hornets storm back and down 13-10 and roll off 5 points to win 15-13. Now 52-22 all time against the Aggies.

That is the way to get it done!

Next year will be the 75th matchup at Hornet Gym in the sport that has the most contests played
between the rival schools all time.

Go Hornets

and

Stingers Up!!

After the Causeway win against Davis, Sac State goes to Kentucky and takes down Bowling Green, Northern Kentucky and Seattle U. Now 7-5 in a season that has only seen one home contest, the Hornets host San Francisco and then go to Nevada for yet another tourney on the road before starting Big Sky play.

Go Sac State

Congrats to the Hornets for the first win at home over USF. (only the 2nd home contest of the season)

Now 22-7 Sac State all time over the Dons dating back many decades.

Hornets 8-5 now with all wins coming on the road accept the most recent win.

Best of luck in yet another 3 game tourney on the road, this time at Nevada, Reno.

Hornets beat Weber and ISU at home and then go on the road and sweep Montana and Portland State

North Dakota comes to Hornet Gym on Thursday. Both teams are 4-0

The only two BSC teams without a loss.

Hope to see Hornet Gym packed. Green Army, the band, all cheer teams.

Bye week for football.

Hope to see the football team out at Hornet Gym as well.

Hornets got a huge win over UND last night in 5 sets. Great atmosphere last night. Hornets have the inside track to hosting the BSCT.

Congrats Hornets for a great win against the 19-2 Fighting Hawks of UND

And a sweep this afternoon against the Bears of UNC

Great to fight hard and take down the two teams in the Big Sky predicted to come in first and second with the Hornets third in the pre season poles.

20 wins in a row in Big Sky match ups at Hornet Gym since a couple years ago.

Next up at home...Southern Utah and NAU.

Then 6 of the last 8 on the road in the Big Sky.

Be great to see the Hornets win the regular season title and get a chance to host the Big Sky tourney on campus.

One contest at a time.

Congrats Hornets on a 15-7 season so far overall and 6-0 in the Big Sky

Hope to see the Hornets jump past UND, UNC, Portland State and Idaho in the Division I college volleyball rankings.

Think we are something like 127th out of over 300 schools as of last Monday.

Go Hornets

and

Stingers Up!!

Hornets win again on homecoming day on campus against a good NAU team.

Now on to Idaho and EWU next week.

Go Hornets

and

Stingers up!!

Hornets get past a very good Idaho team and a very good EWU on the road to improve to 10-0 in the Big Sky

Best of luck to our Hornets as they continue on the road in the Big Sky with very good teams to play .

Stingers up

and

Go Hornets

Hornets fall to an always tough NAU Big Sky school in all sports on the road a couple days ago but get past Southern Utah in Cedar City Glad to see that always tough road trip for Sac State and the Hornets move to 11-1 in the Big Sky. And Portland State and North Dakota who are chasing the Hornets in the Big Sky standings both fall tonight . So the very good PSU and UND teams are 9-3.

Now the Hornets come back to Hornet Gym this coming week with a chance to wrap up the regular seasibn Big Sky championship

Best of luck to the Hornets tomorrow night at Hornet Gym against Montana State.

43-6 all time against MSU., 23-1 on campus against MSU. Have not lost to MSU since 2013.

Here we go Hornets getting closer to the Big Sky title and hosting the Big Sky tourney on campus.

Go Sac State and

Stingers Up!!

Hope to see lots of fans and the Green Army come out tomorrow night to support the team

Congratulations to our Hornets!!

At Last!!

Big Sky champs again after 10 years. Great to be back to a place the program was so , so many years and has come so close to being again for the past several years.

Well deserved.

Great to see the Hornets beat an excellent Portland State team m after being down to the Vikings by 2. Had to win the last three and Sac State did and the nearly 500 fans at Colberg Court went wild.

Great to see the Big Sky Tourney coming to Colberg Court probably since the court was given the name after the most winning coach in Sac State sports history.

Going to be an exciting week on campus with the tourney and the Causeway Classic.

Look forward to all the Big Sky volleyball teams coming to campus.

Very impressive 3-2 win after falling behind 2 sets to none. Great atmosphere in the Nest on Senior day as the Hornets clinch their first BSC Title in 10 years.

Hornets will host the BSC from Nov 16-18.
The tournament format will be as follows: The quarterfinals will take place on Thursday, Nov. 16 when the No. 2 seed faces the No. 7 seed at 11 a.m., No. 3 vs. No. 6 at 1:30 p.m., No. 4 vs. No. 5 at 4:30 p.m., and Sacramento State (the No. 1 seed) will take on the No. 8 seed at 7 p.m. The semifinals will take place on Friday, Nov. 17, at 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and the championship match will be on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m.

Hornets beat UNC in the first round of the tournament, 3-1, in front of a lively crowd. UNC gave the Hornets all they could handle in games 1 and 4. Big Hornet runs in games 3 and 4 kept this from going 5.

Hornets face off against PSU (beat NAU 3-1) tomorrow night at 7 PM. I encourage those of you to make it out if you can. Good atmosphere there tonight, would be better with a few more people and this team is totally worth the price of admission (and then some). The lobby at the Nest is in the process of being revamped. Some pretty cool graphics were added and TV's will be installed at some point in the coming weeks.

Idaho swept Idaho State, and UND beat WSU 3-1. Idaho and UND face off in the other tournament game at 4:35 in the Nest.

Brutal finish to the tournament. Sac up two games and cruising, then UND stuffed it down Sac’s throat for the tournament win. On to a chance at the NIT volleyball equivalent.

It was a tough loss. UND won the 1st set, Hornets the next 2, then UND the last 2 for a 3-2 final.

Crowd was great, an electric atmosphere with a lot of student in attendance waving flags and starting chants, Herky bouncing all over the place, cheerleaders, Prez Nelsen jumping out of his seat double fisting "stingers up". Only thing missing was the pep band (new SSMB director on the way at some point, hopefully this gets remedied this spring). Damn good season though with some key players returning next season. Good to see this program back on top of the BSC where it belongs. Credit to Volta for turning it around the last few years.

Looking forward to some post season play even though it won't be the NCAA's.
