Re: Portland State Game

Take it one week at a time. This week it is Portland State. Each week is a new game, a clean slate. You can't look at records. We should see both teams are 0-0. Weber just needs to show up, play stingy defense and do their thing on offense. Hold onto the ball and take full advantage of any red zone ...

Re: Eastern Washington

Weber needs to do the same exact thing that they did to Montana. Put pressure on the Eastern QB. If he is hurried, he will make mistakes. On offense Weber will continue to do its thing.

Re: Big Sky Champs

Just take it one week at a time. Only team that can beat Weber is Weber regrettably. Stay healthy and take care of business on the field. I would love to face SUU again in the playoffs.

Re: Montana

Games against the Griz are usually won in the trenches. This year's contest might be a bit different. The Griz are going to throw the ball a lot. Weber's secondary will need to be ready. I think forcing Montana into a one-dimensional team is a step in the right direction. So, the defensive line will...

Re: Saturday October 21 @ Cal Poly

Heard that Cantwell should be fine and ready to go. He could have come back last Saturday, but was held out as a precaution. Regardless of his current situation, the concern shouldn't necessarily be Cantwell, but the backup. You don't want to burn Jenks or Hymas' red shirt now, so we have two option...

Re: Saturday October 21 @ Cal Poly

To me, each week, both teams are 0-0. Should be a hell of good game. I wish I could make it to SLO this year. One of the best places to catch a football game.

Re: SUU Game is Big

The question that needs to be asked now, is what is being done on campus to get students out? Is there anything announcing the game to the students? Have the student leaders planned anything to get more students out, such as: after game dance, food, music, tuition waiver, promotions, rivalry speech?...

Re: Cat fight

Does anyone know how they were able to get a long TD with 20 seconds left in the half? I would think a safety would be back in that situation. With that said, I love the play calling and guts the coaches have shown! Also, they switched receivers from what I could tell, which should have been flagge...

Re: Cat fight

Below are some stats you should all mull over a bit. Week 2 : Sac St. had 535 yards of total offense against Incarnate Word and scored 56 points. Week 4 : Sac St. had 586 yards of total offense against Southern Utah and scored 54 points. Week 2 : Davis had 518 yards of total offense against San Dieg...

Those rankings are much better than Colters. I haven't seen his come out yet for the week.

Mine will be out tonight or tomorrow. Hint: Weber State is No. 1.
Can't blame you for your past rankings. The Sky has been wacky so far this season.

Re: UC DAVIS AGGIES

Under Jay Hill Weber has focused on playing strong tight defense, entertaining and jaw-dropping special teams, and to establishing the run on offense. He can be very tricky on offense though. Teams will come in focusing on stopping the run and then he comes out passing. My concern is the OL. The lin...

Re: Future Weber Football Schedules

This is the future non-conference schedule so far. 2019 will be a 12 game year, so another game (prob. lower div at home) will be scheduled, probably for Sept 7. 2018 Aug 30 (Thurs), @ Utah Sep 8, @ Cal Poly Sep 15, S Dakota 2019 Aug 31, @ San Diego St Sep 14, @ Nevada Sep 21, Cal Poly 2020 Sep 5, ...

Re: Sacramento State

Well, we definitely know that our OL is young. After two really strong weeks, one against a 3-0 PAC-12 team, they didn't look very dominant last night. Yes, the Cats were able to run the ball, but the pass blocking was terrible. We couldn't pass because Cantwell was running for his life. Offensive s...

Re: Favorite stat after two weeks

How bout that O-line? Been better than expected. :thumb: It was a major concern August 1, but a concern that has quickly been put to rest. Our OL is young, yet looked veteran against Cal. Something that should scare teams a bit is the fact that our OL has 3 starting freshman. That group will only g...

Re: Quarterback

This is interesting. Just noticed Rathen Ricedorff has been added to the roster. He was slated to be the backup at Boise St this season until he violated some NCAA rule and became ineligible. Was a three-star recruit coming out of JC ball. http://www.broncosports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/rathen_rice...

Emmett Tela is no longer on the team roster.

This morning I read in the Standard Examiner that he was supposed to be one of the team leaders. Guess the SE missed on this story?

Re: College Sports Madness Preview

Weber's biggest issue isn't the QB spot, but the OL. Who cares how good a QB is if the guy doesn't have time to run the offense. They mentioned two of our hogs lost, but missed the most important guy; the center. That is the most important guy on the OL. I was hoping that Bruce could step in and be ...

http://www.bigskyconf.com/news/2017/6/25/football-north-dakota-selected-to-win-bigskyfb-by-leagues-coaches-media.aspx Picked 5th in both the coaches and media poll. Really, can't argue with that. My concern is with our OL. The OL has talent, but is lacking in experience. Coaches moved DL Junior Latu...
