Agreed. I really like the guy but it's time for a complete rebuild. Yeah, the game has changed, etc. but you can't tell me that a program can be highly successful for 20 years and then in the span of a couple of seasons not even look competitive. There's a lot more to it than just the portal and NIL. Look at how wretched Idaho was for so many years and then they almost immediately bounced back with a coaching change. Whatever it is that Best is trying to do with the program isn't working, hasn't worked, and isn't going to work in the future.

Even the announcers are incredulous as to how bad we are.

Agree with everything you said, but I actually think there's more to it than just Best. A lot of poor hiring decisions in relation to Presidents and AD's, Covid basically bankrupting the state, etc. We really haven't recovered since all of that. Frankly, the last good President we've had was Dr. Arevelo...the guy had incredible work ethic and vision. I do think the current AD was a good hire, but man did he inherit a disaster.

Fair points. There's been a series of very puzzling decisions in the past few years. I really question the leadership of the BOT as well.

I was going to say, some players and coaches can be salvaged but mostly need to clean house. Next guy should hit the portal hard like Hauck did.
