PSU

Turning the ball over twice inside the opponents 5 yard line is not a good luck. Yes, shouldn't have been that close, but tons of self-inflicted gunshot wounds in that game. It's easy to see why this team does not play well on the road.

Terrible job on his part. Good throw. Good catch. Had he just sold it WWE style, that first down at the one. Needs some weight room time to strengthen those arms.
Hasn't learned how to use his size yet. Same thing happened in the BSU game where he had a catch for a huge gain and the DB just ripped the ball out.

It all worked out, but whatever angle they had that showed Bell fumbled before getting into the end zone sure wasn’t shown on TV. I figured it’d be upheld just because there was no angle on the goal line. He very well may have fumbled before crossing the line, but I have no idea how they conclusively thought he did with the angles shown There was nothing where it was a clearly wrong TD call.

I feel like a shifty alum watching the homecoming game on TV instead of attending live. I feel guilt.

I feel like Best is probably a goner after the season no matter what. I think the only way he saves the job is by beating either Idaho or Montana and at least snatching 2 of 3 from the rest. Eastern has to show they’re capable of beating someone legit.

Montana football is legitimate and has been for a long time. However, this is the second or third year that they haven't played a FBS school. It's obvious that they have deep pockets and they don't have to . However, I always felt that come playoff time that they should be penalized for that( perhaps they should have to travel instead of stay home in the first or second round). FCS teams that have to play FBS teams on the road ( for monetary reasons) put their balls on the table and risk more injuries by going against much superior rosters. FCS teams that do this ultimately sometimes pay a steep price physically at the beginning of the season and it takes a toll on them just to be able to compete against a team that is obviously more stacked.
The NCAA or the big sky conference in their infinite wisdom should address this when it comes to seeding.

I don't even see a "this game is probably a win" in the rest of the schedule. Northern Colorado and especially Cal Poly have improved that much. Sac State or Northern Colorado at home are probably the best chances for a win. Last time we played Montana in Missoula we lost 67 to 7 and they were ranked 16th in the country. Yea that isn't happening, Eastern is more likely to go winless in the last 6 games then Best proving himself.

I know a couple former players at my work that don't even go to games anymore. One went to homecoming cause of free tickets. They're just like I can't watch that train wreck anymore. Not sure if they feel guilty or not but I wouldn't. They agree with you btw. They say Best is more concerned with recruit 4.0 students who overthink their job and try to do other peoples jobs then guys who "eat rocks" I guess meaning dumber guys who are willing to go out and smash people in the face.
