This has the potential to get really ugly really fast if the Griz get caught in the “it’s always the second guy that gets caught”. I’m sure there will be “baiting” on the part of the SacSt players. Love how they're getting buried in the comments for not soliciting one of their own students in the Art program to make that image and using AI instead.
Reminds me when PSU changed its logo and paid like $100k for it - Art majors papered the campus with their own versions that were almost invariably superior to the one we paid for.

I can see that perspective, but I think it's a hard hit to take for people when they're currently paying to learn how to succeed in a career field that seems to be going away.
No, can't see that it would have. And probably wouldn't have paid much, either.Would it have provided them with a life changing career opportunity if an art student got to make this one post? Absolutely not. This was not some big project that went out to bid. Such a strange time to be alive.
The bigger picture though is that a lot of people who have or are working toward professional careers as artists are seeing their skills and years of experience becoming less valuable or possibly extinct for a large percentage of them. I don't think it's strange that they're upset and acting frustrated by this.
If the career I've been working in for over a decade started to transform into a nearly free commodity due to AI I think I'd panic a bit.
I was trying to find a very recent Twitter post by a local media person. He may have deleted it. But he complained about how Dr. Wood was going about getting attention to fill the stadium tonight. Said should just win games like Troy Taylor. As if we averaged over 20k back then. The average attendance has not changed much at all.
To make a broad point on all of this, there is a lot of panic and exaggeration on social media.
Low interest in college sports is a CA problem. AI threatening jobs is a problem. FBS not wanting to expand is a problem. Funding stadium projects in CA combined with tarrifs/inflation is a problem. None of this was caused by Dr. Wood. Dr. Wood staying quiet will also NOT solve any of the problems.
I hope attendance is high tonight and people understand that they will not personally be hurt if Montana fans don't like us. Bad blood helps sports.

Aren’t the Queens playing at home tonight? That will affect attendance.
Now the mayor is pushing for a full time MLB team.
Why cant the mayor push for Hornet stadium funding, or supporting the Hornets?

The Chico and Stan St. kids aren't going to give a sh*t about the game....this is a free-bus-trip-to-Quavo thing for them.
Sac must be doing well financially as charter buses are expensive, if they are offering this as a free trip for students that aren't theirs?
Might feel the investment is worth the cost. Good national showing on TV. Might make a few new college student fans.
