No expectations at all. I would drain all time off play clock and ditch the run pass option and use QB protection packages and running plays so we don’t injure our remaining two QBs for the year.

Do what Portland State did to us in 2021. Hold onto the ball as long as possible. However, for some reason, Mikey doesn't go for the 3-4 yard option but the 25+. So weird. We need 4 so the QB throws a 30 yard pass and then we punt. Ugh!

I remember the 4th and 2 last week and the quick slant pass attempt for 20 yards that was broken up. Mental routinely on 3rd and long does a delayed run thinking he will catch the defense off guard…it never works, but he tries it all the time. I only see that as an option if you plan to go for it on fourth down or are trying to flip some field position. The wide receiver in motion hand offs in the red zone are also baffling . I’ll never know what Jay Hill saw in him…but sadly at the time, he was an improvement from Schramm.

Oh well three more games this year before Mental can prepare for his last contract year (I believe he only has one more year).

Seriously, drain the clock and use better QB protection packages. I envision the transfer portal this offseason being akin to the evacuation scene on the movie Spaceballs. “Launch all escape pods as soon as they are filled.”
