BYU

Another game where they're playing really well but up against Elite talent. That talent gap is just tough to overcome but they're doing a great job so far.

Yup. Just a completely brutal pre-conference schedule. BYU is ranked #10 in the country and we played them tough for one half and then couldn't defend anything in the second. I think we'll be competitive in Big Sky play. Huie will be tough to handle for most Big Sky teams and I think we have enough talent offensively to win at least half of our conference games.

I'm not quite sure why Rogers is starting. Rebounding, I guess, but he sure doesn't score many points at all. And as mentioned, nobody seems to be able to play much defense on this team other than Moses.

That said, I think Hamilton and Huie could be one of the best front court duos in the league this year.

Is this team gonna win any games? It feels like we're mastering the art of being semi-competitive losers. Haven't won a road game all year. The schedule has been tough, but we seem to play decent against good teams and then fall on our face when an opponent is beatable. One d1 win prior to conference play...

This coach just need more time to get his players in? Not a huge fan of hiring old guys but but with his ties to Gonzaga and the region it seemed like a decent hire.

They haven't figured out a way to finish games. They play well, and then seem to collapse in the second half when the lack of depth is more apparent.

Playing all but two of your non-conference games away from home is also a huge factor, as is the level of competition they've played, which is far and away the hardest schedule in the Big Sky.

So, from a wins/losses perspective we look terrible. From an eyeball test, not as bad as it would seem.

We'll get a better idea of what this team is capable of in the Idaho game. They're a team that's probably more talented but I think we have the right pieces to compete with.
